Loading time (pc)

Hey
After last upadte(1.2.5) i have serrious issues regarding the loading time(and i mean every loading screen). Before this update i had little to none issues with this the loading time was something about 10-20 secs so not really hindering But after this update my loadings went really up it went beyond one minute and offten it even bugged itself to state of endless loading time. This is really bad. When i open map the game start loading so i can go to make myself a cup of coffee and then i can look where i want to go then i close the map and then start a new loading screen.
I really love this game but after this update it is for me unplayable. So i want to hear if this happened to anyone else(sadly).

Are you using a SSD? I rarely have any loading times over 10 secs. on latest patch

I do not have a SSD but the problem is that I had short loading times before update.

What are your specs and what resolution and graphics settings are you running it at?

Same here. It is now unplayable. Funny enough I had little to no bugs before update. Now every goddam loading takes 30s to even minutes. I’m on ssd and have high end Computer, plus I work in IT, it’s not my pc, it’s coming from the game.
When I say unplayable I mean it, Now I can’t save. Every time I try to save, being through auto, sleeping, schnaps in inventory or in menu, the game gets stuck in infinite loop. I even let it run for a half hour this morning, when I came back it was still loading and didnt save the game.

You can see in the screenshot last time I tried saving in menu, screen is stuck, no save done while music and birds are still singing in the background.

I dont use mods by the way in case you where Wondering

Ok so I noticed this happened after à specific moment so I loaded the save right before the last one and now the problem is gone, no more than the usual 5sec load for me, top. And I can save again, though I have to redo an entire day of quests and loots.
So I recommend loading a previous and try to see if anything changes

Happens to me from time to time but all I had to do is leave the area, save and reload (or just wait), and come back. Problem gone. Using older saves works too and sometimes just loading your current save after loading an older save fixes it.

Leaving the area didnt work for me but I might try loading previous then current if that happens again

Loading older save helped, loading times are in normal now. IMO update somehow corrupted the save.

Today same bug…bit after i talk whit another npc i grave resolve…hope…

I was having this same issue, long load times when I fast travel, sleep, pass time, etc. I had a total of around 80 saves, mostly autosaves, so I deleted all but about 20 saves and that seemed to fix all my load issues. After deleting old saves in game (that I knew I wouldn’t use anymore), my load times went back to normal. I don’t know if this will help anyone else but it worked for me. Game is installed on an SSD.

No version of the game has caused my PC any trouble. Playing right now.

At this stage of the game’s status, it would help Warhorse if we could select the version we use, to pinpoint bugs.

It happened again. I tried deleting old saves and let only the last 10 but it didnt change anything. What worked is loading an old save where this problem wasnt happening and then loading the last save. Happened a couple times since my last post and it worked both times so I finally found a proved workaround. It’s odd but it works so if that happens to you try to find an older save where the loading times were normal and then load again your last save and magically the problem disappears.

Same problem here after the big patch. Especially annoying are long loading times now, when i encounter an ambush during fast travel. while i am still in the loading screen i already can hear the bandits threatening me and even begin attacking me before i can do anything at all.

Seems like my perfect install has gotten ill.

Today I experienced three bugs I had never seen before.

A 30 second load. (Game has never taken more than 10 seconds (start), or 2 seconds (gaming) to load anything…
A character model being built up slowly. (Head missing for four seconds).
And a save game screen stick for a bit.

Ninja rig with a >1000MB per second M2 drive.
Now- I would think it was windows doing stuff in background that made these errors happen.
As I say-never before seen.
Today they all happened within five minutes of each other.

I wont list it as a bug/in a bug thread as so far it is a one off.
And clearly it has already been reported numerous times…

Anyhow not running new 1.3.4 patch yet.
Game has since been fine… so me thinketh something mucked up my drive access for a bit… otherwise a process with this game engine looks like it is getting stuck and holding back further drive operations.
I didnt think I would EVER see this issue due to the nature of the x99 platform and quad channel ram/fast m2 drive.
