Lockpick animation loop bug Rattey

Dear Sir / Madam,

I am encountering the following bug @ Rattay.
In Rattay at the middle and top floor of the rattay armory when i start lockpicking henry starts doing his animation but when he gets set up it looks like he gets stuck and is just in limbo walking towards the lock.
The lockpick game doesnt pop up and small part (only close button) of the controls popup.

I have tried many things to get around this problem like being in different positions and starting the lockpick session, I have tried reloading the savegame, quiting, starting, reloading the game, tried sleeping, tried waiting, etc but still everytime this loop happens.

Does anyone on this forum have this problem? ? And has anyone been able to solve this??
Can anyone help me get around this problem??

Not sure if this is the same “bug” like I have mentioned.
The chest in the house of the scribe in Uzhitz.

If the door is open in his study room, Henry can´t get in correct position to lockpick this chest.
You must close the door to have “space” to lockpick the chest… :slight_smile:

Dear Blacksmith,

I think its sort of the same problem, but in this case there is nothing between me and the door I am trying to lockpick. I am just standing in front of the door, trying to lockpick it and well… it goes into a loop.

not saying this will work for you, but sometimes when this happened to me , i saved the game and reload that same save and the lock would then work. before i thought of doing that i also just saved and would then reload the whole game and that also worked for me.

In my original post I described that I did exactly the thing you just described.

Saved the game, reloaded the game.
Saved the game, quit the game, reloaded the game.
Saved the game, quit the game, reloaded the game, saved the game, reloaded the game.

Etc Etc but allas it doesnt solve this problem.

I have not encountered this problem before reaching Rattay.
And even in Rattay I have been able to pick all locks except the armory lock.

yor playing on pc right? . if so , i have an idea, i dont know if it will help or do what im suggesting . but theres no harm in trying, try this mod and maybe it will also fix that bug. then after u get in that room loot it, save ur game . uninstall the mod and you should be good to go .

I checked the two doors (PC Version 1.43)
You are right! The doors are “broken”.
They need a bugfix… :slight_smile:

Just for my clarity: In your game you want to Rattay, walked to those two doors and tried to lockpick them and you also got exactly the same loop problem as i did?

I would also like to know if you have been using any mods?

Thank you so much for your answer.
I emailed Warhorse Support and got an answer back. So I just send them a reply
with all the data they asked plus ofcourse a link to this forum topic.

I told yhem that you tried it out and encountered the same problemen.
And now they have a clear example of someone encountering this problem without using any mods.

So I hope this is a problem which will be resolved by the next patch round :slight_smile:

After the new patchround the game was updated to version 1.5. Alas this has not solved the problem. So this is still something which needs to be addressed in a following patchround.

There is a work around. Crouch and spam what ever button you use to lockpick…then when he stands and crounces again wait…could be 30 seconds BUT this does work on ps4
