Simple question: What does a high LOD distance setting do? Does that mean you see high quality models/textures out to a far distance? Or does it mean that you see low quality textures/models in to a close distance? In other words: if you want the game to look its best, which end of the slider should you move the LOD distance setting to?
Hi LOD makes a 3d model decrease in complexity slower than a lower LOD . so It has longer time in a complex detail view as the object moves away / is farther away.
Hi lod can cause a noticeable FPS drop if you don’t have a super high power system
