Lol at the law system

I just lol’d hard. I accidentally picked up a uncoscious guy from ground. Everybody naturally freaked the fuck out. After the guy woke up I was talking to him and a guard came to me demanding that I’ll go to jail for hauling a lifeless body. Right there where the excact same guy was. I got 7 days of jail. Well it was a quest character and since it was a complete accident (misclicked F because I didn’t remember it picks up the guy) I decided to load my game. Well it was either that load or 5 hours earlier, so I already had the guards coming for me. I decided to try out how many I can beat for the lols of it. I killed I think 10 or 11 guards in sasau. And got 10 days. I really lol’d. Mocing a knocked out guy = 7 days. Moving the guy + 11 murders = 10 days.

I picked up a dead bandit on accident in an ambush encounter with tied up guards, killed the bandits untied the guard, picked up the bandit on accident and got a bounty on my head and the guard attacking me. I surrender, my “Scariness” attribute is so high though (like 20) i told the guard to f*ck off and he stammers something and walks off. It’s just stupid honestly.

Oh and I actually had a question about this. I tried multiple times different persuasions on the guard to get out of it since I really didn’t feel like going to jail for a misclick. My character is build around strength and speech, I got 16 charsima with modifiers and speech around 15 mark also, but I couldn’t persuade the guard for the life of me.

Is there a autofail for the persuasions if your crime is heinous enough? I mean I tried everything from speech to telling him I’m on a mission from Sir Radzig etc. nothing worked. I got way better skill checks than the guard. I’m able to see his skill checks through a perk.

It depends on the guards levels, they show question marks until you unlock the speech perk that shows the person your talking to level’s. This is also glitched though I’ve noticed because your buffs (the + numbers in blue) aren’t added into this equation, which is obviously a glitch.

I have the perk. For example I tried scaring him off, my check was 18 and his 8, but I couldn’t do it. Failed everytime.

i’d rather be permanently be blinded to the NPCs numbers (remove empathy perk) than to have a numeric advantage that’s meaningless

I just lol’d again so hard. After I got out of jail some dog started barking at me so I punched it in the face. Don’t ask why, I also think that’s disgusting, my Henry isn’t actually the nicest guy. So anyways someone saw me punching that poor poofs snot and ofcourse I was to be fined. The guard came up to me and demanded payment, to which I told him off by saying I’m Lord Radzigs man. Then he replied “Oh my deepest apologies, I didn’t realize, go on then.”

Sooo… Am I to think that being under a lords service gives me the right to punch dogs in the face? “Go on then” he basicly implied that I should continue?

And no I don’t think this is an actual problem, just found it hilarious.

Allthough… I have to give it to the NPC who owns that loud mutt. He was extremly well behaved. Even when I punched him twice he didn’t bite. Didn’t shut up either tho.

if you have higher value for the check and it still end in a fail that is a bug.

I did a savior shnaps before beggining a murdering rampage just for the lols of it… And when I had enought of it a guard showed up and I told him I was under the comand of lord radzigs… He just told me "go on then"
I… I killed more ppl than the freaking army in Skalitz… I just made a genoside… “Go on then”? xD

The game’s law system feels really shallow.

Gives off some serious “I’m the thane of White Run” vibes.

Had an ambush on the road with some bandits and tied up guards… since i like to open with the bow i shoot the first bandit an arrow right into his ugly mug. And suddenly the guard stands und and wants to charge me with a fine… cause… reason?
So i slaughtered them right beside the bandits… didnt get a fine or lose any Fame in the City… there is still a lot to do for WH.

Another time i was sneaking around in the Armor smiths house in ratty. Got caught by the shopguard who was patrolling at night… knocked him out and got fined… so i decided to ram my sword into him… fine symbol vanishes… i go outside… combat music playing… standing beside a guard with the surrender button… and he yells “Hey Henry, good to see you!”
