for all the talk in game about how badly touching corpses is, it feels weird that i can loot people naked with guards and other “upstanding” npcs around, without them batting an eyelid. making it an offense would also balance the game economy, since, at least for me, the economic struggles are always over after the pribislavitz fight, where i can loot dozens of armors and weapons that sell for 300-1k each.
Battlefield looting was a huge incentive for volunteers, from villein to noble (who got a large ‘share’ of the take, rather than necessarily participated directly).
It has quite different implications than handling the dead generally though, when pestilence and corruption are commonplaces. You know your opponent was alive and vital only minutes or hours before. A house full of ‘found corpses’… less ideal to poke around at…
