The Vagrant and the Cuman disappear after I speak with the miller (which is after the interrogation, but before, supposedly, leaving with the Cuman and the Vagrant to the hiding place).
There is no questmarker anymore if the quest is selected.
The Cuman is behind the barn and a locked hut, you have to walk around and there is two hired poorly armed gaurds. One of the guards as the key, or you can pick lock

I have acquired the translator one mill over, brought him there, questioned the Cuman.
The Cuman told of hidden coins.
Went to the Miller to tell him that I had interrogated the Cuman and that the Cuman would lead me to the Stash.
= > Cuman and Vagrant gone without a sign.
Oh my apologies, I didn’t choose that path. I chose to take that scum to prison in Rattay
You came further than I did. There is never a cuman in the barn with my game. Talked to the miller and offer to help. When I come back with the translator, the latter talks to a invisible cuman.
A real bug-fest this game…

I just tried to do this quest. I chose to persuade the Miller saying that the Cuman belongs to Rattay Gallows and that he should not obstruct me taking the Cuman. Then I said something along the lines of “I am not that mean, I will still bring you a half of the reward for the Cuman.” Then the miller gave me permission to get the Cuman and leave with him. I told the hired hands to open up the barn and untie him. The problem is that he is just standing there, staring at me, doing nothing. No choice whatsoever to interact with him in any way. Tried punching him - nothing, just falls unconscious to the ground and the other people at the mill attack me. The quest log just says “(Optional) Take the prisoner.” And it seems from your posts that there is a plethora of other issues with the quest as well.
Oh well, another sidequest I am not able to complete…
I have now found the translator near the Bandit quest location in the SouthWest…
Was just wandering around.
Confronted him and he gave me the location of the stack… only the Quest Journal does not record that (what is it good for if things like that don’t go into it?)…
Got the Location of the Internet, took the Stash, gave the Miller his half.
Quest solved.
So, problems in sequence:
- Translator and Cuman disappear at random
- Translator wanders all over the Map without any quest marker on him
- Questlog does not contain important information (like the Location of the Stack)
my bug is that after i interrogate the cuman, i don’t have the option of talking to him, only pickpocket. which leads me to search for the stash by my own.

For me the vagrant is now dead…killed by the bandits in soutwest area…and there’s no further options…he just lying there unconscious…
i think this quest is bugged…
Unconscious or dead? Unconscious wake up after some time.
Sometimes dead…sometimes unconscious…
Don’t found the miller (never passed my mind, guessed he was on the way to the authorities) only the hired hands, picked the lock to talk with the cuman, brought him direct to the Bailif. After some time found this post and looked for that stump and its here anymay. I guess that’s the mostly quick and profitable way.
