Was getting A Bird in Hand quest out of the way and captured 2/3. Technically I captured all 3 but mast last cage vanished shortly after the bird song stopped, meaning capture. Walked the whole area but it’s lost. The map in the journal shows where it is but nope.
Poor little thing is going to starve out there.
Yeah same and not only bird cage vanished any item you drop there is vanishing

Same thing here, placed all cages on a straight line, Went away, fought some bandits, came back a few hours later and one cage has disappeared. Had to reload (I sleep VERY often). Placed them again, backed off a few meters, waited 4 hours and all 3 were full and visible. I didn’h have more than five meters between the cages. So as long as you just Place them where the bird(s) is the loudest your good to go.
Wait so you just place the cages under thr one tree?
Not all under one tree, but I had three trees pretty close. one cage under each, maybe five meters or so between the trees.
Same problem here, last cage is missing… No fix after the 1.3.1 patch though…
