For some reason I think the way this game updates itself is the actual problem. Hear me out here. The patches are so big cause they can’t just fix a specific area and cryengine requires basically half the game to be patched over regardless of specific quests that do not even have issues. I play on a ps4 pro. When I patched to version 1.2.5 I saw no improvement on the graphics and pop ins. It also did not fix the quest bugs. I think it’s because you have to start the quest from the beginning (which is stupid especially if you don’t have an old save), cause the patches don’t seem to fix bug quests that are halfway through progeseeion. I had 32 hours on my original save. I bit the bullet and deleted all my save and restarted the game. First of I noticed the graphic improvements and secondly the known bugged quest all work now as they should.
At present I just started the siege quest and since I had done that “new game re-start” 45 hours of game time back I have had no issues.
So yes it sux. If you don’t have an older save you fucked, and doing a whole new restart of the game does suck aswell. I cussed a lot before I gave in and restarted, but over all my experience has been leaps and bounds better than trying to play my original old patch saves.
Ik this sux cause basically if you don’t have a older save to go back to you pretty much stuck. I have learned to tolerate this games and its bugs. I brew a shit load of savior snapps and make sure before I start of on a main quest I do a save…just in case.
I’m on patch version ps4 pro 1.05 and game version 1.3 So far I’m 45 hours in and have had no issues.
