I think your idea is the best role and immersion matching. I like it!
I actually like most the idea of walking into a forest, deep, all the trees look same, or almost same. After a while you suddenly begin to recognize your surrounding. You came back to place you left few moments ago.
They already answered that question on kickstarter: âNatural boundaries.â
Ok, we know there is no magic barrier. Its about what will the natural boundaries be like.
I really like this. Reminds me of the never-ending stairs in Mario 64, but with an obviously real-world theme. Iâve seen so many scenarios in stories where people lose their way in a forest; blindly traipsing only to later find themselves at the same spot they were a few hours before.
Not only in stories. I had it happen to me. You sometimes can get turned around in forest and not have any idea how. As soon as you canât see the sky, sun and horizon it isnât that difficult to lose the directions.
there will be rock massifs
Yeah, but the map is taken from real place in Czech Republic, and there are no natural boundaries around it and i dont think there were any in the past.
Well ⊠there was the Iron Curtain but thatâs much more recent history
So there would be barricade of VB cars, telling you to turn around and go back because you dont have permission to leave the kingdom?
More like VB ox carts to make it realistic But yeah!
It doesnât matter which proposed method is included. Every boundary will remind us that it is just a game, which is true. I would go for some meassage window and animation after which player is returned to the village or something.
Yeah :D:D:D:D I think we got it!
Vozova hradba! - Cart wall was actually one of famouns husste battle tactics
Thisâd be awesome imo!
Excellent suggestion. +1
Image you did not save your game for long time and then wander around map and this text appears.
This would be actually really cool with different screens and voiceovers depending on events happening in the time when you leave the area (for example, if you would leave the game map before one of the big battles then it would be âyoung blacksmith betrayed his king, fled cowardly before the battlle of something, only to be found by his former brothers in arms and hanged for treasonâ, while displaying a scene of you hangedâŠi donât know :D)
That woiuld be hilarious ⊠kind of Hope for autosaves
@Yahkem a bit more difficult to do than just one screen, but still nice idea too
They need to have built in a way to expand the map, as I am fairly sure that they said that in later acts the map would expand, so they need to have an entry point for you once you purchase act 2. I hope this isnât just some NPC saying âyou canât go this wayâ
