In other RPGs you have for example mountains all around or some kind of a magic barrier but since this is from real enviroment I wonder how they will solve this up. If you have any thoughts feel free to put them in here.
Why not at the end of the map it becomes procedurally generated?
My bet is a really, really, really thick forest.
I vote for huge high powered lasers like in Borderlands!
Group of bandits + ambush = death …
Or screen with person walking away as in Fallout with"and so young blacksmith left his homeland and abandoned promise he gave his father. He started a new life somewhere else … nobody ever heard about him again".
Today Czech Republic, previously bohemia is full of mountains and huge rivers, dark forrests etc… Offcourse it will have boundaries like these.
i saw the edge of map in some video, it looks procedurally generated
Seems legit! Lasers are always good.
Probable options:
-Ocean
-Lake
-Sea
-Dense Forest
-Steep Hills (unclimable)
-Steep Mountains
-Pile of Rubble Rock
-Fences
-Attacked by bandits/some sort of npc encounter that always results in your death
What I really want:
-Edge of the Earth Myth is true. You fall off…and die.
There is no ocean, lake, sea or unclimable hills nor mountains. List is getting short for you
…Invisible wall…
Shakespear would not agree.
Shakespear was in Bohemia near Rataje?
No but in one of his works he described Bohemia as desolate land near the sea.
I think they said somewhere that the player would be constrained by ‘natural boundaries,’ but I could be wrong.
I’d hate to see low fences (which you could clearly climb over), insanely steep rock formations which look out of place in their surroundings or of course the old invisible wall - ‘You can’t go that way.’
I’m fairly confident they’ll get it right though and however they do it, it won’t be too jarring.
Really? Silly him then
Czech Republic is a landlocked country
Yeah, the boundaries will be natural.
And how will they look like? (its worth the shot )
