do they even work?
it work wonders in the tutorial, but in real combat i can’t do any of them, only perfect block works, master stroke or dodge aren’t working for me
i managed some master strokes while using a shortsword and shield, but by sheer luck, but i can’t do it while with a longsword or shortsword without shield
and i can’t dodge, it simply won’t work
is it bugged or what? i never managed to do any of this no matter the patch. are they really hard or just bugged?
This can happen when low on FPS. Check your graphic settings, turn on the FPS display to see what you have. Another possible reason is that you don’t execute them correctly. You description is rather scarce, so it’s difficult to judge.
What are your fighting stats? With Henry getting higher skill this should be easier, especially when facing low skilled opponents.
They definitively work, at least after they have been unlocked by training with Captain Bernard.
Actually the combat system becomes very easy after that, it is sufficient to play defensive, perform
perfect blocks and counterattacks to win the fight.
I can testify that it works no problems with longswords+shield, since that was my usual equipment in the
first run.
They are not hard, but as someone else said you might want to check that you have high enough FPS to react
in a timely fashion, and also that your stats are not too low compared with the enemies.
