Medieval village simulation

I really wonder how deep will Warhorse go with details about the structure of the medieval village. I would be really nice just to go around and learn how some of the crafts worked at that time. (Crafting of textile, e.g. the linen cloth, animal-care, woodcraft, etc.) I realize, of course, that this is mostly decorative thing for most players and the main focus is to the story, but I am really excited about this “simulation sandbox” part.

Also, I wonder, will there be cats, cows, ducks, goose and other animals apart from the chicken and sheep?

of course there will be animals. for example farmer will have cows, ducks, etc. and I think that in gameplay stream video, there was a cat.

Maybe see people doing this - bleaching linen

It would be nice if they added an array of wild animals such as packs of wolves, elk, etc. Including behaviors of hunting, being in a herd or pack, browsing/grazing and resting. But I can imagine animation of bears or wolves realistically taking down a variety of prey would be rather difficult.

For immersion I hope the towns and villages are living places. Lots of NPCs talking and going about their routines will make the game feel more in period. A chance to learn a thing or two about the history of how people lived wouldn’t be bad either (who said video games can’t be educational).

Look at how educational it has been already with these forums, and the game hasn’t even been completed. I get a history lesson every time I read these forums…keep it up guys!!!

I’d love to be able to look around and feel the atmosphere of a medieval village.
People having a daily routine and doing work and so on is a good thing thats already included.
Would be great if theres a good variety of things like people bleaching linen as mentioned by savage beatings.

I like the Idea to be educated while playing the game and to see how people lived in that age of time.
Also a variety of animals like cows, ducks, bears, wolves, birds, cats, sheeps, chicken and so on would be great! It would make the whole game more atmospheric and realistic.

Keep on the good work Warhorse!

I’m also really interested in the simulation of the medieval society, and I would love to see it as comprehensive as possible or I’ll mod the game until it is.
