Meet & Greet and Some Suestions + General Gameplay Chit Chat

Here is what the monastery looks like for me, crap compared to yours, but if I turn graphics up, the stuttering and freezes start. I have thought about altering my user config like people talk about, but I am just not that concerned about it lol.

Here is is on very high on my PC (no HD textures as my vid card does not support them). As you can see, for me, not much difference, not enough to deal with the issues it causes for me.

For those with good systems though, PC with HD textures can look very nice.

I was quite happy with the last patch we got for the ps4 pro, pop ins are much less now, but they made the load screen when travelling and entering your destination longer (so basically its doing it so the pop ins don’t appear) Problem is that the longer load with the random encounters, the bandits start attacking you and you cant see shit.
Texture streaming is better as well and draw distances did improve some.

Yeah, pop ins got better on PC as well. I never fast travel, as I like riding the horse and discovering things, so haven’t had the issue with encounters, but I have had it in the Ulrich chase, and got attacked by bandits while talking to him and got killed lol.

Well i never really try to get into to many debates about pc vs console as i have one foot in both camps
Here are some random other pics i just pulled over from my ps4 pro:

Not to shabby for a console, sure some of the Hairs are not that great, but the pro does quite a good job with some of the older game especially like DA Inquisition which never even got a 4k patch, but benefits from super sampling and ps4 pro boost mode.

Just note like I said before I’m converting them to jpeg cause i cant upload them in png. Obviously they look better in png.

I never understood the whole pc, console, or even brand of console debates. They all have their pros and cons. It comes down to how you like to play, and in some cases, the types of games you like to play.

I do pc because I like them and they are what I am use to. I didn’t grow up with consoles (going to age myself here) We had the original Nintendo as kids, and then the super and 64, but I also had an older sister, so my time on them was limited lol.
We didn’t even have a pc until I was 14, but that is when my gaming started. I got into building them, and we had friends pass down their older ones to us, which I would upgrade. We ended up with 6 computers, and friends would come over and we would do lan parties of Quake Arena and other games lol.

My current pc I built years ago. I only spent $200 to build it, and the only thing I have ever changed in it is the video card, and that was several years ago too.

For me consoles are too expensive. You can’t just upgrade, you have to buy a whole new console. I can upgrade my pc so much cheaper, and it is years before I ever have to anyway. I buy parts once they drop in price, never when they are the newest/latest thing. I have never had a pc worth more than about $250, and they tend to last me 8 to 10 years before I feel the need to upgrade lol. If they play what I want to play, I am happy.

I also build my own pc (the desktop in the above post only real big upgrade was the graphics card and the migration over to a SSD)…played the Witcher 2 on it, and some elder scrolls, now my younger sister plays Sims 4 on it lol…we had allot of fights cause the tv is that desktops monitor…i see she downloaded the sims 4 via origin onto my laptop as well lol…was wondering why the arguing had stopped and she stopped squatting in my room.

Hahahaha the joys of siblings lol. Years from now you guys will look back and laugh at it all.
