Hey. I have been enjoying the game especially since it been patched quite abit so I thought I would share some shit and also ask some questions. I’m roughly in about 28 hours in so here goes. Story behind my user name is that it is named after a device used by Yennefer Of Vengaberg in the Witcher 3. If you played that game you should know what it is and what it was used for.

Ok I play on a ps4 pro

This is some other shit I like to play. Not all games are present due to SSD space

This is my best stealth set up, are there any suggestions to make it better or better armor?

These are my current weapons. Any suggestions?

Current main combat armor, likewise any better options anyone can offer?

Current basic skills. Can anyone offer any insight as to the use of drinking skill and herbalism? They don’t seem to serve much purpose, or is there a use for them I’m missing?

So like I said, any suggestions from some of the games veterans (pc or ps4/pro/Xbox) would be welcome.
I’m really enjoying this game now, I had a rocky start as it was pretty shitty on console when it came out. So I’m not bitchin so much about the game and it bugs anymore lol. I’ve even held of playing the New Assassins Creed Origins Curse of the Pharaohs DLC to keep playing KCD!

Pretty good stats. I like to keep my unarmed up high though. Just in case I need to crack a jaw real quick.

I’ll reply to your combat equipment. I’ll start at the head, then go torso, then finally legs.

It’s pretty good, though for the oddest fucking reason Warhorse somehow made a mistake with the helmet you have now. It’s for some godawful mistaken reason WEAKER than a KETTLE HELM. Explain that one. I’d suggest in investing in a full coif. The arming caps are pretty weak. You’re good for head maille since it’s the best in-game.

Onto Torso now.

Not a big tabard/Surcoat/hood fan? There are combat jackets too, though they are…unsightly. I’m more a fan of plate since it’s better, but the brig you have now is good. If you’re a brig lover there is a white version that is the best in-game over in Sassau. Decorated Bavarian is the best chest maille, so good on that. I love the gambeson you’ve chosen, so keep it as it’s got good stats. I have never come across those gauntlets, so I can’t rightly say if they’re good or not. Brig arms are eh. I’d suggest any sort of plate if you’re in heavy combat at any time or just alone.

Onto your Legs.

No padded or maille chausses? I won’t ding you for that. They’re hard to come by. Good hosen. Keep them. Brig legs are good all-around, so if you like speed, keep them. If you don’t mind being slower, go plate. And keep the boots.

I have way too many hours in this game lol. I play on PC though. In case you haven’t found him yet, the best horse in the game, is Warhorse Jenda in Merhojed. With military shoes he can run from Rattay to Sasau at full gallop the whole way. He has enough stamina to do it, even following roads, instead of cutting cross country. Makes getting around much easier.

Would you mind sharing some screens shots of your armor set ups etc. I’m interested in seeing how you have your Henry set up. I always try aim for the best balance with the armors I choose so sometimes thing my have higher combat stats but lover charisma etc.

Lol you rite about the arm armor. I chose that cause Henry appears to wear that set up (sans the head gear) in some of the games pre rendered cut scenes. I just like how it looked. I do have the better plate armors in my storage chests.

Thanks for the suggestion on the horse. I went and bought it, you rite, he/she is defiantly better.

I carry 3 sets of clothing around, one for battle, one for stealth, and one for charisma. I am not a “point counter” in that I just use what works, and don’t worry about an extra point in this, or that. If I am not dying, I’m good lol

On my stealth set I am not sure why it is showing 1 for noise, usually that is at 0. On my battle set, what isn’t shown on the list, is all warhorse stuff from the chests. I know there is better out there, but like I said, I’m not dying, so don’t care lol. My charisma set is mostly what I stole from the bath house chest during the quest with Lord Capon there. It takes a bit for it to no longer show as stolen, but I just throw it in my chest for a while and check it from time to time.

How did you manage to get your combat skills so high without getting defence above lvl 3 though? Are you a combat wizard who never gets hit or needs to block?

I suck at getting the perfect blocks rofl. I am disabled and have mobility issues. I don’t have the reflexes, nor the mobility, to hit Q while working the other keys too. I get hit a lot, and usually just survive the fights lol

Yeah, this game has been a real challenge for me. I cannot do combos either, as I do not have the motor control to always get the right angle with the sword. I basically just have to button bash my way through fights and hope I live rofl. I am use to that though.

Game companies never consider the disabled when making games. They assume everyone has full mobility. I would have loved it if they had at least had difficulty settings in this game. To beat Runt, I have to run a trainer, or at least have the Queen of Sheba sword mod, which makes it the best sword in the game. I hate that I have to do either, but it is something I have to do if I want to play the game. I tried Runt literally 2 dozen+ times without some form of help, and failed lol. At that point I decided not to keep beating myself up, and got the mod to help. It still took me several more tries lol. I love the story though, and refused to let my lack of ability stop me from playing and getting to see the story lol.

Ok lol I’m gonna ask another question, may sound stupid. I prefer to play on console, but I do have to computers.
One is a desktop, the second is a laptop.

I still dunno if I should just go buy the pc version of this game, but I dunno what machine to play it on. the desktop has a better GPU, but slower CPU…the laptop has a better CPU but a NVidia M card

Here are some spec…laptop had the i7 and the desktop has the i5 cpu

The desktop pc is connected to the TV as I use it as my monitor. Both computers have SSD as primary storage

Its a secret lo, no not actually, I’m just pretty good with a ps4 controller. I can even pick “very Hard Locks” at level 7 lock pick skill. I have a steady hand and a good eye i guess

Just testing, the ps4 pro seems to take screen shots in 4k and when i try upload to the forums it tells me the file size is to big. (yes ik use a photo hosting site, but I’m lazy). This is a pic of the monastery, is it good or bad compared to pc?

I play on a desktop, which by today’s standards is pretty old, but it plays great. Before 1.3 I could play on high graphics, since 1.3 I can only play on medium, or I get freezes and stutters. I have an AMD FX-6100, a 750 Ti FTW, and 16 GB of 1600 Mhz ram. I only have a Seagate Hybrid SSD, not a full SSD drive.

I have seen some pretty amazing screen shots from PC, but my PC isn’t capable of anything compared to them.

wonder if it because I’m playing on a qled 4k tv? Ive seen other ps4 pro pics posted and they look abit shit, but maybe they have their ps4 pro hooked up to a normal Hd tv?

Oh you collected all the sword parts from the blacksmiths. Is that the best sword in the game?
I only have one part only cause i tried to pick pocket a blacksmith, but stealth killed him by mistake!

I added a mod to make the Queen of Sheba sword the best in the game, without it the sword is complete garbage. It is so not worth all the trouble you go through to get it. You can buy better swords from the swordsmith lol. I only added the mod because I need to help of a better weapon though lol.

I just knock Zack out to get his piece. If you wait until closer to when he goes home, his son leaves, and you can just knock him out and take it while he is at the forge.
