It appears they equip themselves both in the leg plate and boots category and their stats count twice over. I compared them to my older “Aachen brigandine chausses” which on tooltip have greater stats, but the stat panel below the character model shows the Meissen to provide superior stats, and they occupy both leg plate and boot slots
Because they are not just shin guards. They can include an armored foot over shoe.
For simplicity it seems they were combined.
It’s okay. Some of the plate chausses behave like that.
That may be so, but in that case the stats written down on them are completely off then.
