Merhojed bugged

Help,

I think Merhojed is bugged. After hearing they sell great horses, I wanted to do just that: buy a horse. I inspected the horses and found Jenda to be my ideal horse.

Now, Matthias was stuck on the sick bed, and I couldn’t talk to him to buy a horse.

So I did what every upstanding Citizen of San Andreas would do, and went on a murderous rampage killing every man, womach, pig, chicken, dog and horse in Merhojed, extinguished every singly fire and lockpicked every door and chest.

Now, it seems the game is bugged somehow, as the guards think (or rather, thought, when they were still breathing) I am a criminal.

Also, I collected all the cadavres, stripped them naked and threw them on a giant heap, but somehow the game won’t let me set them on fire. Has anyone else encountered this bug?

Is it Mathias who does the horse trading or is there another NPC - I can’t remember. I had no trouble purchasing Jenda myself. Perhaps you’re currently in the middle of the Merhojed plague?

As a point of interest, I’ve heard his name pronounced wrong in so many KCD videos, so here’s the correct pronunciation: Yen-Dah. It’s Czech for Johnny, which incidentally also makes this horse male (a lot of youtubers wrongly assume that it’s a female name.)

Plague long cured, and yes, it’s the horse dealer guy… I cat attack him, and he tried to flee…but if I stealth knock him out, as soon as he regains cinsciousness, he plopps backt into his strawbed
