I just bought a copy of the game for myself and my friend. I did not realize that I needed to give him the gift-code activation for him to use on his own account. I was just trying to give him the activation key for steam, and without thinking, activated the gift code on my own account. Both validation codes for steam are the exact same, meaning I just wasted $50 for two copies of the game, of which only one can even be activated.
I sent an email to support, but I am worried that they won’t refund/won’t re-set the activation for my friend to be able to use. Has anyone else had this happen, or have suggestions?
