I don’t think I’m the only one to say this but the balance in the mid to late game just completely sucks. Money is too easy to come by, your equipment is God-like and and the weapon scaling makes fights trivial.
What I suggest:
- Make Savior Snaps dirt cheap, makes early game easier/less frustrating and stops late game farming for easy money.
- Nerf the OP damage scaling from perks and level
- Make armor all round have better resists (Plate armor needs to actually resist most slash damage)
- Re-balance weapons to have higher prices for better stats and vice versa
- Limit good equipment on random encounters from weak mobs (far too easy to just horde equipment for gold mid-late game).
- Perhaps a system where if you flood a city with too much of ‘x’ product/armor/weapon type the merchants pay you far less for it.
- Make better equipment cost more to repair, make low end equipment have better condition durability
- Fist fights cause too much condition loss
- Gambling bet amounts need some kind of level scaling, useless beyond beginnning
- Potions and some perk buffs need a nerf, or a drawback alongside the buff
- Fenced goods pay too much, it’s too easy to quickly steal and get rich, alternative would be a cooldown where only X number/value of goods can be fenced until cooldown expires
- Guards aren’t much of a threat mid-late, need better combat stats, not equipment
- Animal AI ignores you shooting arrows very near them (Humans can tell though, so animals needs this)
- Arrows are painfully slow in the air
I know there’s some mods in testing that address some of these, but would be nice if the Devs could tackle them. I don’t want the game to become brutal Day-Z survival like, but the Skyrim ‘Dragonborn’ 1 man army needs to be avoided like the plague. Might have missed a few things, so thought/opinions?
