Hi, I’m really disappointed that a patch as not fix a bug for this mission ‘next to godliness’ that in italian is ‘Un bagno di umiltà’ (i’m italian)
This quest is in the final part of the quest and wants that you pick flowers from a garden to the castle of rattay, the problem is that I have the key of Capon to open that door but the game shows only the option to lockpick that door, wich is VERY HARD to open and impossible to me.
So what i have to do? None of the guards open that door if i wait near that door…
I need to complete the quest because on PS4 there is a trophy that wants you to complete ALL the quests.
Lock pick it that’s what I done
The garden door is open for me, did this quest just now.
Note that the door is located NOT where quest marker is.
And the key Capon gives you is for his apartments in Rathaus where you get the wine. Pay attention.

i know that the door is under the stairs, i see lot of videos, but the problem is that FOR SOME PEOPLE the door can be opened, they says that you need the hans capon key, i HAVE that key but nothing happen.
I have reload the mission from previus save and the door is glitched every time, this is one of the secondary mission that a player do in the first hours of game so i can’t understand the door that says very difficult to lockpick (that’s because you have to do the mission in another way without lockpick).
Isn’t that door at the far wall as you enter and to the left and in a small cubbyhole and not locked( I always had the key so I can’t say if ever locked) and unlocked? Never had a problem with it up to 1.5
I have the same the bug! The door is closed and very difficult to lockpick.
did it again on another run and still not locked for me.
I don’t remember seeing a locked indication.
I always take Hans key too tho.

I had Hans Key for the wine cellar. I think it was removed afterwards from my inventory. Did you take it a second time out of the crate or did you keep it from the questpart with the wine?
I kept it and never returned and did not keep track of it in inventory. the door to the garden was just there to open for me. I think, not sure , on the 2nd time thru I might have followed a guard into the garden.

I tried to wait for a guard entering, but all use the stairs or turn around. The door is locked with lockpicking very hard, even when i have Hans key in my inventory… I try a reinstallation now. I hope my Save Games are still there. 
I just checked and I still have his key. Are you on PC? If so & out of desperation you could get the cheat mod and console command the no lockpicking function or console command you skill to 20 and pick up the perks that come at that level
I never had any problems with the garden door.
I checked yesterday and the key was gone after the first Part of the Quest.
I am on PC. I try the new Installation now. If this doesnt help, i try the cheat mod. Thanks for your help!
Somehow it worked at the End. I installed the cheat mod and disabled lockpicking for everything.
I went to the Castle Garden to get the flowers. And just when i arrived a guard entered the garden and I could enter together with him and get all the flowers. It was the first time a saw a guard entering the gardens. And i spent some time in front of this door.

If you are going to keep the cheat mod, Warning: do not try to use the “own all stolen items” it now causes a CTD. Also cheat will cause the DLC( which hates mods) to not work right! outside of the DLC village area it will be ok. The mod needs an update badly but appears abandoned.
Thanks for the warning. I deinstalled it right after the quest, but kept it in my download folder. I keep your warning in my mind.
im pretty damn sure man that that key is for the wine cellar, Not the garden door.

You have to wait for a guard to open the door. But for this to happen you have to be there in the early morning, about 5 o’clock, when there is first light in the sky.
Be careful though not to wait for too long, otherwise Hans and Klara go away and the quest fails. I had to try three or four times before finding the right timing.
