The sun has set, and you’re ready to infiltrate the Cumans’ camp. You leave your horse several hundred fathoms east, don your footpad clothes and slink off into the night. Taking care to avoid dry branches, carefully measuring every step, you circle the camp, noting the locations of every Cuman you can see.
But just as you’re slipping poison into their soup pot, you hear shouting behind you - you missed one of the devils out on patrol, and now he’s spotted you! Thinking quickly, you teleport a suit of plate armor from your saddlebags, put it on instantly, turn around and smash the villain before laying waste to the camp and his comrades. You proceed to loot far more than you could ever possibly carry, simply teleporting it back to your horse before leaving.
If you’re like me, you have a hard time deliberately inconveniencing yourself for the sake of immersion. If the game’s going to let me do it, I probably will. But KC:D is fun because it makes you eat and sleep, sell that poached boar meat before it spoils, actually grind the belladonna after boiling the wormwood for three turns, etc. So it would be great to have some mods that keep me honest with storage and armor donning. A mod that makes you interact with your horse if you want to use its saddlebags, and a mod that makes you spend an hour putting on your gambeson/hauberk/plate. What do you think?
