Moderator Abuse/Laziness?

personally, I think @TobiTobsen is, in a word, supergeil.

I think it’s good we talk about this (forum rules) but preferably without accusing moderators of abuse or laziness. I think Tobi and MadSmejki have different styles of moderating. Moderaters have extra autority even if they don’t use there powers. Just being present and reminding people not to be rude might be more effectiv than keeping your distence until the thread is beyond saving. But taking a side is problematic too so you have to find a balance between the two.

I think you took it very personal, I think there was not more to discuss about it.

Please don´t start an other fight, that would be nice^^
Thanks

Can’t imagine why you’d feel that way.

I would argue the moderator did the right thing.

Irony?

@Madaras … @TobiTobsen did what needed to be done , no need to publicly crucify him for it , and portray him as the evil dictator Tobi .

im guessing i fit into your "one or two trolls " .
i wasnt there to troll your topic by anymeans and i myself enjoy the discussion of politics and all the no go topics however there is a time and place for these things . generally face to face where things are not misunderstood , for example for me to truly convey my feelings on the topics in question ((homosexuality ) it would take a good hour of civil face to face discussion .
like many others here i saw your first thread come up “Homosexuality In The Game/Time Period” and had a read and me and yourself got into a civil discussion no abuse about the topic i conveyed my feelings on the matter as did you and if i remember we even reached an agreement on a few parts … however that thread ended up in a too the death row as well and i drifted away from it .
you then at some point during that argument created another thread "homosexuality in gaming " which was in a nut shell going over already covered ground . anyone with common-sense could see the dusky road you was heading down with the second thread .
now again i got involved in the discussion and i remained respectful up until respect was not being shown back towards me at one point i was even told to go kill myself , so i do apologise if i got a little bit agitated after being told to go top myself .
to be honest the second thread should of been shut right away and directed back towards the first thread to keep the debate combined rather than spreading over the forum quicker than ebola in a African village .
surly @Madaras you can see you were asking for trouble with those threads ?
they had to be shutdown . the mods did the professional and correct thing

I probably’m too sober, sorry, but the one I consider the discussions bogged down in superfluous - that’s at religion from a particular moment always the case. And for current, real world politics there are huge blogs everywhere, then why one in a tiny forum that the development of a medieval game is still dedicated. Sexual inclinations are a private matter, my go to no one’s and others’ I’m not interested. Something you can done personally, is satisfying, right? If it must be exhibitionistically, this too there is relevant blogs. Although it is still packed so smart…
Insulting prohibits dogmatism probably by itself - so, where is the beef?
Nothing, however, sometimes unload a moment of frustration, but if the results for weeks to no result, it should be good. A phenomenon of our time is this endless dead chatter of everything and nothing - who remain awake last wins.
And I find it very inappropriate to knock over a match officials, who has been doing his job very well. In football, some have quite a few red cards…

Their website, their rules. As a private forum it is their property; ergo, you don’t have any rights to say anything if that is their will. Don’t like it? Go write a blog about it.

Let’s discuss something that is related to this game.
Such as what disco song will constitute the main soundtrack.

I personally put forward the Tavares with heaven must be missing an angle and Earth wind and fire with Boogie wonderland.

Sorry, you just didn’t get it. It’s a czech internet inside-joke based on famous response to the survey in local newspappers by one pensioner who said “These affairs just annoys people, i would ban all the computers”

Thanks for clearing that up. Now that I know the background, it can actually be considered as funny

Gotcha! Thanks for the explanation.

Hi!

I support @TobiTobsen, he’s a great Community Manager, and very helpful to newcomers. He is dedicated to helping people, which is brilliant, especially when they’re not very clever at getting badges sorted (Thanks again Tobi Tobsen  ). Sure he might not be perfect, but he’s only human, but an awesome one at that. And that outweighs the bad in my opinion.

Regards,
Warrior Rose.

Or how to become famous easy fast and free. Poor old lady she didn’t deserve that probably.

Anyone mind translating the image?

Vera PohlovĂĄ, 72 years old pensioner:

These affairs just bother everybody. I would prohibit all these internetS and computers.

It comes from an insignificant local newspaper’s questionnaire from 1999 btw. :computer:
