Monastery Problems

I’ve noticed a few problems with the monastery. For one, the timing is off on a few of the daily schedules. If you skip time directly to 18:00 while at evening mass, you’ll find yourself standing alone. Then, the notification pops up saying “you’re neglecting your daily schedule”.This isn’t the only timing issue in the monastery though. However, this caused many problems for me, and made my stay in the monastery much longer than it should’ve been.

Secondly, everyone seems to leave the room before you’re even allowed, this includes the other Novices. and at almost every scheduled activity besides the alchemy activity. It can cause you to be late, and have trouble getting to your destination at a reasonable time ahead of everyone else. Everyone walks so slowly out of the dormitory at the same time, and it can be troublesome to even get down the stairs without trying to push by everyone.

Lastly, I notice the Novice Siskin is able to skip mass and other activities without getting into trouble. Meanwhile, if you skip just one of any activity, you’ll get warned soon after.

The game is wonderful, but with so many things in the game, it can become hard to manage for the Warhorse staff. Especially when all of those things connect in some way, shape, or form. Still a great game!

I thought the monastery quest worked fairly well and I enjoyed it. If your time spent there is too long then there is an option at the start to make it fairly quick. Otherwise you do all the quests, take your time and firgure who the bandit is.

My speech was high when I entered the monastery so even though I was caught running late about 4-5 times I was still able to talk my way out of it and avoid the dungeon.

You learn fast to only leave the room when the quest prompt pops up to tell you and to fast forward time to just before session ends so you’re not the last one in the room.

Think it took my about 6 ingame days before I left the monastery. Was a nice break from the endless hours of bashing people’s heads in.

've killed Pious and now I’m trying to get thrown out for 3 hours. I have the key but when I just walk out everyone calls me a monk and my things in the chest are marked as stolen. I’ve figured out that if I do something wrong and reject punishment the curators will throw me out, right? Nope, they are calling for guards right away. The worst part is, even if I go to jail, everyone still calls me a monk and my things are marked as stolen. How the fuck do I leave this place?

Honestly, has anyone played this game ONCE before releasing? There are so many game and quest-breaking bugs it’s mind-boggling and anyone playing through this game ONCE would find a lot of them. I understand they are a small studio but seriously, delaying the premiere for a week and fixing only the major bugs in the main quests would up the quality of the game by 200%. I just don’t fucking understand how could they release this amazing game in such a fucking horrendous state, which shouldn’t be even that hard to fix. Play the game, and look up broken scripts as you progress the main story. What the hell happened to all beta testers?
But I digress…

I played the version where I spent little time in there and killed pious. HOWEVER; I set things up 1st. I got the key and unlocked/lockpicked all the doors, snuck out got my stuff and went back in. I worked with pious to get out and killed him outside the walls and threw his body in the river. once and done!

If you talk to Siskin, he’ll explain how he does it. I agree some of the timing is a little off, but if you only wait by small amounts and always look around, it soon won’t be a problem. You can generally do everything there is to do in the monastery within two days and two nights from your arrival.
