Monastery Quest & Erik the Bandit Quest destroyed game

So I’ve started the monastery quest and all of a sudden i got poisoned and confronted with the target, who i then killed (barehanded?). Now I tried to escape the monastery and could not find an exit. I then got arrested for walking around in the monastery (I’m a monk???) and sentenced to jail. After jail time i got back to the monastery to get my stuff from the chest (which now is stolen apparently??). Then headed over to my next quest: get into the camp near sassau, which I did. I lost my horse in the process and could not continue since there is nothing happening at the door of the destroyed house on the hill in the camp. The marker clearly states to go there. I dropped poison in all the cooking pots and tried to escape the camp. This all worked but now I’m outside the camp and I cannot fast travel anymore and cannot call my horse. I found it standing at the gate of the camp, but I have to steal my own horse to use it(???).

So it seems it’s not an open world game after all since I did not complete that boring quest in the monastery and now my game is fucked up…

Anyone else has this problem?

Adding to this all: I cannot ride faster or gallop with my own horse, that I had to steal.

Adding to this: I got of my horse and it fell dead… What the hell is happening in this game???

What do you mean, “All of a sudden I got poisoned”?

I was eating with the other monks and when leaving the table I was poisoned.

Dude you sound like you’ve completely lost control over the game and the story. Do you by any chance skip all dialogs and just rush onto the next marker without giving a damn about the story?

Dude I read all of the storyline… This has nothing to do with it… For example: if all NPC’s tell me that Erik is in the ruined house on the hill, I should be able to find him there and not just a door with the notion “press E to Use” and nothing happens…

On to another quest about the baron: I found the camp and reported it and now this game is loading for 15 minutes already…

And what has the storyline to do with a horse that is suddenly not mine anymore and dies when I mount and unmount it… Tell me, please, where in the story is this explained???

It states that once you enter the camp, you can’t go back to do other things. If you don’t complete the quest and just jump out of the quest, you’ll break the game. As for the story, you’re definitely not paying attention to shit since you don’t even realize that you’ve completed the monastery quest the right way. And as for Erik, did you go to the right house on the hill? The room inside should look almost royal and Erik should be sitting on his chair by his desk.

Are you for real??? It states that continuing the quest in the camp will stop other quests. This is supposed to be an open world game where you can be whoever you want and do whatever you want… If I was not allowed to exit the camp, it should not be made possible and what Erik concerns: I didn’t even get into the house since I could not open the door…

And I’ve tried for a full ingame day to get in the house (since sometimes timing matters)… But I couldn’t open the door in the morning, at noon, in the afternoon, in the evening, at night…

The whole issue is that if this game wants to be as realistic as possible, a horse that is mine stays mine untill I sell it…

And along with all the other bugs, I think it’s best to avoid this game for now… Maybe next year all bugs might be fixed… This is clearly an alpha released to soon…

Try rolling back to a previous save and doing the quest again save if the door won’t open.

Open the door to the left.

Not that one lol. Screen shot the door

Anyway it doesn’t matter: this game is bugged beyond recognition… There are so many things that take away realism.

To name a few:

If I go and meet up with my lord and talk with him, I should not be arrested for being there, since that lord is the boss and in real life he would not have me arrested for doing my job and reporting…

If I have a horse and mount it, I should be able to gallop… And the horse should not drop dead when I unmount…

If I own stuff and put it in a chest and later pick it up, the items should not be marked stolen…

And about the screenshot of the door: There’s no telling why my button doesn’t respond when at the door, just from looking at a screenshot…

Ya, Ya I know Zombie thread.
But I never read such a way to screw up a quest line. Rush thru games much?

Sorry, but that is too funny to me.

“Got off horse, he fell dead” LOL

Sounds like operator error! Spitting on my keyboard laughing.
