Spoilers about the not so happy endings of a very buggy quest
If you do the monk quest the long and friendly way, the monks’ routines are broken. they never get up from dinner.
If you do it the quick and dirty way, or bypass it entirely with an arrow from above, the monks will go about their virtual lives.
Clearly you aren’t supposed to come back. But I did. And I was able to talk to them about the experience. The conversation was broken, with multiple blank choices for dialogue that the monks replied to.
I felt bad that they sat there eating in unison long after the bowls had disintegrated. two monks still wandered the premises, but all the rest remained.
So do we save Pious, a known horse thief and brigand, and condemn the Brothers? or do we save the Benedictines and serve quick/partially authorized/bugless justice?
Oh, also, Pious totally sets up Gregor as a murderer. I bet that will go down well with the real Gregor, the remaining monks did know who he was/who his guardian and father are… Sucks for him and sucks for you when they question him… Also, everyone knows you as Henry! and the monks probably saw your face a few times… and some of them do travel… So. Ya, broken and not thought through. I suppose locking up Pious is the only safeish way to go, if you can get through the bugs to that point.
