Monks stuck in the dinning room in the monastery/No Necronomicon

So I have done the story quest in the monastery and then came to a quest (I think its called The Restless Spirit), where you have to get (steal) the Necronomicon book from the monastery. The problem is that in the library in the very hard shelf, the Necronomicon isn’t where it should be (at least according to all mighty Google), and everyone in the monastery is stuck in the dinning room eating (I tried I think every hour, day or night, they are still eating!). I noticed one of the novice have Necronomicon II at his pocket since I murdered almost everyone there on my first run, but since they are all eating I can’t rob anyone without a trouble.

Is there another place I can get this book? Novice Jodok told me about a treasure, where he keeps the book, but I can’t find it anywhere.

Same here, I was unable to lockpick the libri prohibiti cabinet, so I was looking for the keys, while unable to pickpocket, I’ve decided to kill the brother librarian and stole his keys, then I was arrested. After that, I came back and opened the Libri prohibiti cabinet with the keys, but it was empty, there are no books!
But I’ve already done the game and finished the monastery part, so I was returning to the monastery just to finish the quest with cemetery flowers (Hřbitovní kvítí) and found all the monks are eating in dinning room and not fulfilling their daily schedule, @Leckie how far are you in the story?

Btw. punishments are sooooo low in the game, I’ve killed all monks and some guards (to see what they have) and got ONLY 8 days in prison. Not executed, not loosing any money or property … Even in other quest when you are sabotaging the executions, there are higher punishments! I’d like to see higher penalties on Henry’s property and execution ending the game, forcing players to play less violently and load previous save …

I’m now waiting for trebuchet to be build in front of Talmberg and I wanted the Restless Spirit quest to be done for one of the herbalist so she could cook the potion… I came to a conclusion that you can raise the reputation with her much easier way since Restless Spirit CANNOT be done during this phase of the story. I will visit the monastery at least once more to see if they are unstuck.

Please no spoilers if you’re going to point something coherent with the story

ad punishments: Yes, they really should up the punishments and consequences since to be put in jail is more of a positive side since your reputation in the area of crime will reset and it’s just better to do that then try hard to make your rep go up again some other “humane” ways

No, I only wanted to know how far you were after the monastery part to find out where it might break after we left it …

Anyway, I was also getting alerts that I am not fullfilling my schedule while I was inside the monastery until the moment when one of the monk guards (Cirkátor) has found me and saw me with a weapon he then immediately excluded me from the monastery…

Anyway, I’ve fulfilled only the “Kill the Pious” quest in monastery and I think all other quests from monastery failed as I left it, but … But as I am thinking about it now, I think they failed again when I was excluded from the monastery. But that’s a different play/load, as I am continuing in play was only killing the brother Librarian, getting the keys, got arrested, return, nothing in the cabinet.

I already had a similar problem with fullfilling and not fulfilling something in the Nest of Vipers quest, when I was firstly praised by Sir Radzig for burning arrows and poisoning food (success alert shown) but few moments later game shown failed alert, because I’ve set on fire only one bucket of arrows and poisoned only one food.

I’ve found out that Talmberg is stuck in same situation that has @Leckie (building the trebuchet) at least under the castle, there are soldiers sneaking around and pub is closed, no civilians.
And I am not sure if it is related, but also Talmberg’s hunter has a star - so he has a quest for me, but he doesn’t want to speak with me.
