More Buff Implementations? (or workarounds?)

Just wondering if WH are planning on adding any more Buff Implementations? I am thinking about modding a set of bow/archey buffs and it would be great to have some that attach to a ranged weapon being equipped.

As I understand it, these are hard coded and we cannot add them ourselves so would be reliant on WH to do it. Wwhich leads me to the second part of the question - is there a workaround for this using scripting? For example, add a null buff, use some script to check for the buff being present and a ranged weapon being drawn, then add some bonus and remove it if the weapon is put away.

I’ve had a look at the mod tools and docs but can’t work out if this is doable or not.
