Morpheus for the PS4

I for one am a PC player how ever I am wondering as this game is said to have Oculus support what is the likely hood that our PS4 KCD Brethren might also be able to use there up and coming VR head set when/if its avelabe.

I wonder if the PS4 would even be able to provide the 60 FPS for a comfortable VR experience when rendering Cryengen’s graffics or if the PS4 will be limated to low res VR Exclusive smaller things on its console?

Hum? just thoughts and things

My guess is Kingdom Come Deliverance is going to be coming to market far sooner than Morpheus will be. However the Oculus Rift is already out and about among many people (including moi) also the new dev kit 2 is out and from what I hear looks (to some) consumer ready. So I hate to say it because I love playstation, but I doubt there will be immediate support for morpheus when it eventually comes out, though perhaps a few months afterwards Warhorse/sony will be able to make something work.

I can’t imagine anything more awesome than actually ‘being there’, the simple act of turning my head to marvel at the splendour before being viscously swung at in an ‘actual’ sword fight (it’s the closest I’m ever going to get to time travel, ok? Don’t judge me)!

I have a PS4 so integration with Project Morpheus would be a delight. But as @Madaras says, it’s more likely timeframe permitting opposed to hardware capabilities.

On a side note, is anyone aware whether the Oculus Rift will be available for Mac OSX when it’s completed? If so I may well just purchase KCD for my iMac for use with VR. Heck, I’ll buy it on both.

I’m not so sure whether PS would be able to deliver 1080p and constant 60 FPS for this game which is needed for a proper VR experience. I guess VR on consoles won’t be there for the top-notch games with next-gen graphics. Even with only 30 FPS the PS4 is almost at the limit with 1080p resolution most of the time I fear… :expressionless:
