I have no issues with building new buildings in “my” town. But much of the text in the “book” is missing.

remove your outdatet mods from the game…
Should ask if he is using mods, Then politely suggest if he does to temp remove them to see it if clears. If not, reload a back save and try again. or verify on I presume steam. ( gog >>me) Failing that reinstall or send a ticket.
well you where both right.
I was only using one mod, and that one was up to date and not causing the issue. (tried removing it) Or so I thought.
I then looking in the other folders and found an old mod in the data folder… removed that one and that solved the issue.
So yes, it was an old mod I didn’t even know I was using that was causing the issue.
