I have now played for about 15h. Till now i couldnt find anything to really do mountet combat. I cant seem to hit the enemy at all from horseback (sometimes i cant even swing my sword) and i cant find weapons like lances wich would help quite a lot in that case…
Did anyone have more luck with that? I would love to play an cavallery character in the game…

u can do mounted cmobat with Bow and Arrow , sword and spears. i “found” a spear in the wood …close to a dead bandit 
i killed his friend who was running away from me, while i was MOUNTED and hunted him with the spear xD it was awesome 
when u find a spear or sth like this u can use it on a horse. unfortunatley u cant run fast when u have ur spear in ur hands… when u switch to ur sword while holding ur spear , u will drop the spear to the floor.
i did not have any quest for mounted combat so far

Ill try that this evening! Till now i fought with a mace from horseback, but its hard to hit anything… I hope they will give us the option to carry spears and halberds…
