Johanka dialog bug at Merhojed when trying to cure the “plague”:
She’s tending someone I think you’re supposed to use the cure on, as you’re supposed to cure the people of 1 of the families that was affected by the disease, but when talking to Johanka, who’s mending the NPC I think you should help, Johanka has the same dialog as if she was at Sassau monastery. I checked all the other NPCs in that building, but no-one needed my help. This made me believe Johanka’s dialog at that moment was bugged, because she’s referring to things as if she was at Sassau monastery and it made the (Optional) objective for that plague curing quest impossible to complete.
Bugs Night Raid quest (stealth quest to free hostages from Talmberg) :
- After Lord Capon gets shot in the butt during a cinematic, he spawns as a body and not a functioning NPC. The next objective is to save him and get him out of the castle. I guess this was done so you could pick him up, but your ally NPCs will try to arrest you when you pick him up, because they think you’re carrying a dead body. Since you cant hurt your allies, there’s not much you can do here. This, however, only occurs when you kill all enemies in the castle, which to me was common sense, to get out safely.
- After the same cinematic as mentioned above, you become immortal. You literally can’t die. This does help killing the 10-20 armed soldiers that come at you, but I’m sure it’s not intended to make the player immortal.
Quest objective pop-up bug after finishing the monastery part for the main story line:
I killed Poeius(??) in the monastery, which finished the monastery part of the main story line and failed all quests that i had active in the monastery, as intended. However, even though all quests are canceled/failed, I’m still getting the daily routine objectives pop up on my screen all the time. I’ve looked through my quest log, but didn’t see any quest connected to those objectives, as they all failed the moment I killed the target.
Your own gear flagged as stolen after the monastery quest line and not being able to repair stolen gear:
Another thing that bugs me after the monastery quest line, is the fact that all your gear is flagged stolen. You have to deposit all your belongings in a designated chest before you can enter the monastery. Then, when you retrieve your gear from the chest again, you can only steal it. This means that all your gear is flagged as stolen, which is very inconvenient. Not only because a guard can take all stolen goods you have on a search, which happens every now and then, but because I haven’t found anyone who is willing to repair stolen goods. They’ll just tell you they’re not interested in buying stolen wares, even though I’m not even trying to sell it to them, I just want my gear repaired. I know you can repair your own gear with kits, but gear can get too damaged to repair with kits.
Quest objective for the Siege quest preparations:
The objective where you have to talk to innkeepers to get beer for the soldiers. Andrew at the Inn in the glade said he would supply the beer to the soldiers, but the quest objective didn’t update. I haven’t gone to all the innkeepers on the map, but when an NPC says he’ll supply the beer, I assume it should at least update the quest objective.
Stuck in infinite dialog loop:
During the Siege quest preparation, you have to do quests for Konrad in Sassau Monastery, who tells you someone is out to kill you. You have to wait till midnight to encounter this NPC (not Peychar but the other one), who will be walking around stealthily in the garden in front of Konrad’s house. After you’ve went through all of his dialog, you can’t exit talking to him. When you say you’ll retrieve all the things he want, Henry will be like: “But what about the other stuff?” or something like that and the dialog options pop up again. This happens every time you want to exit the dialog, resulting in an infinite loop and the only way to get out of this is to Alt F4. I’ve gone through all the dialog a couple of times, but you’ll be stuck here forever.
That’s all the bugs that I can recall that are unpleasant to say the least. There’s a few more I encountered, but those are already known for the most part.
