My Experience with the Game (PC) - Very Positive

I am reading a lot of threads which denounce the poor state of the game, and not only do they describe bugs and tech issues but also ones related to actual design decisions.

I own a youtube channel (We_are_geth) and posted a video on how to level before the prologue is over. It is quite popular. I have levelled this way and, hence, find the game really fun since I am pretty overlevelled (https://i.imgur.com/JUAc5Ly.jpg) and am just currently doing the pestilence quest along with “Questions and Answers.”

I love the lockpicking, I love the save system (having to rest at an Inn is great, although with the coin I have I can just buy Schnapps easily) and I love the combat. I always check that the game has saved (hit Escape, go into “Load” and check the time and date of the latest save) and the save bug has never happened to me.

I have had no quest bugs. Did the Birds quest (they said it was bugged) fine. The only real bugs I have faced are getting stuck into an object and that always happens with Open-World games like Fallout 3-4, Skyrim, Oblivion etc

Overally, I have had a greatly positive experience with the game. I love it and will keep playing it. I don’t really understand people who claim it is still in the Beta phase of development, mostly mocking the title as being half-finished. I think the game is fine.

The real problem, I believe, is that this game uses systems which are very new for RPGs. It introduces classic values previously seen in RPGs of the past, like patience, diligence in levelling (eventhough I have exploited it), and a more immersive experience rather than the immediate experience we currently have with most games. These values are also present in the seemingly alien UIs (like lockpicking, pickpocketing and the combat, although somewhat similar to titles like “for honor”) which i personally had to adapt for.

That’s really all I wanted to say. Not every player considers the game unfinished and not every player has had problems. I invite you to search my channel if you are interested (will not post videos as I just wanted to give you my experience of the game in this post) to somewhat understand that I enjoy the game and the positive experience I am having.

Cheers.

Same here… I’ve put over 100 hours on PC and have had no crashes and no major bugs. I think most of the people having issues are on consoles or don’t have the hardware to run it properly. And of course you have the people who just want to whine about the actual mechanics(which i personally love).

I am on ps4 and have a simmilar awesome experience without bugs or glitches.

I share in the sentiment. I did run into a few bugged quest turn-ins (reloaded save after game crash) but it isn’t game breaking for me. I think it all depends on what kind of rig you have and whether or not you take your time in dialogues. If you try rushing through them, you’re bound to cause the game or your PC to freak out a bit.
