My hats off

My hats off to the developers you have made a wonderfully complex and challenging game, but that is also the problem and one reason I doubt I will finish or even contiue to play this game. When I was a little kid I always wanted to play a knight combat simulator that was actually interesting, and this game might get there eventually. I love the idea of having to actually feel the combat movements through the controls. That is one of the coolest aspects of this game, but it isn’t playable aspect (imho in respects to the console editions) on a mass scale. The current combat system on consoles is not realistic for people lacking the thumb control required to survive in this game. I have very large hands and positioning my thumb in the 1/5th alotted space for each target zone is next to impossible. While some players who read this will say its not or they completed the game no problem, and to them I tip my hat bowing to their superior skill or possibly to just their lack of physical size. I consistently miss my intended target zone, and mainly rely on stabs to kill or hope a swing will land in the correct zone. The archery system took a moment to figure out but it wasn’t impossible. However, we all know Henry wasn’t the Bohemian Robin Hood and archery isn’t a combat system just a piece. The controls for the consoles not realistic and I’ve played my fair share of difficult games - the Dark Souls trilogy, Nioh, For Honor just to list a few recents - but I didn’t end my sessions feeling like mastery of the combat and gameplay system was beyond my skill. With this game I feel that way because my thumbs don’t have the accuracy to hit the target zones. So I die, a lot, which forces me to reload my save which was like two hours ago because I was out of my ultra special save potion. I spend more time looking at loading screens than actually playing. While you might think that I’m just complaining this isn’t a its hard complaint. You have developed a game that is not accessible to those who are limited, handicapped, or disabled. Ubisoft’s game For Honor has a challenging and complex fighting system, but it is still accessible as long as you can work the right joystick marginally (left, right, top, and maybe down if your hero calls for it). I whole heartedly think you should be proud of your work for the PC. I also think you should be ashamed of your work for the consoles. I have never felt like a failure with any game. It’s one of the only things I am truly proud of that I have beaten every game I have ever sat down and played, but because of the complexity of your combat system and my physical limitation I will know this is the first game to beat me.

you do know the block button is LB/L1 right? and that NPC’s auto block if your warfare skill is too low? I have big hands myself and don’t have any of the issues you’re telling about. And for disabled peaople , i don’t think you’ve done enough research. As real disabled people usualy have a personalised rig/ controler to actualy play. There is not a single game company that makes their game accessible to those who are limited, handicapped, or disabled. it’s the rig and hardware that are always adjusted to the need of the person. if the controloer layout just happens to be easy for those group of people that’s cool , but then they’re just lucky. As how more complex the system, the more complex the button layout. im not saying the game is perfect, but there is no issue with controler layout.

Haha sorry couldnt help my self…

Sounds like you do not know how to fight yet, try to do some training sessions. In training they will explain how to fight.

i think you need to read a bit better, nowhere did i say anything to put you to shame, or did i intend to make you feel so. so if i did, i apologise. Just explained that i don’t understand the fact that you say you consistently miss your intended target zone, and mainly rely on stabs to kill or hope a swing will land in the correct zone. As the correct zone is non existant. i’m towards end of the game and i get blocked all the time, even my warfare skill is lvl 18 and i always try to hit the spots that are not being defended by the opponent or the weak spots that are unarmored. yet they block it. So i try to get in a clinch a lot more to stun them so i can hit them with a swing. Or try feinting more attacks, start in upper swing position hold the attack button and then change direction (any direction will do). Your chances of hitting will be higher. Just trying to tell you that this has nothing to do with controler. Combat in my opinion is just so random. Sometimes it will work sometimes it won’t. Where as in games like for honor you will have combo’s you know will hit and thus easier to perform. yes i agree that the combo’s are hard to perform in Kingdome come as the sweet spot for lower left/right hits on the controler are hard to get.

Resorting to violent threats…haha i know 1 thing for sure you will never beat me up. #nevergonnahapen.
Even if you bring your whole friggin fellowship internet aragorn.

Ive been helpin out people on this forum with my experience with the game.

I am in no way connected to anyone at warhorse.

Im.sorry if your handicap prohibits you from playing this game but you were asking for a sarcastic reaction like this after recent posts.

Good luck enjoying the real world making threats to people you have never seen or know anything about.
I sincerely hope you never run into the wrong person.

Apologies if this sound a bit obvious, but there are a couple of mods on Nexus that might help you play through the combat without having to be a pixel-perfect digital sword ninja.

An overall Easier Combat Mod

Increased Armour Protection and Reduced Damage

-This might give you a bit more time in the fight but keep the game play the same.

More Responsive Targeting (Helps you swap over more easily between multiple enemies)

Sectorial Lockpicking - I love this graphical enhancement for the Mini-game but I still switch to M&K to lockpick TBH.

or Easy Lockpicking

And definitely get Unlimited Saving which has been No.1 at Nexus since it and the game released!

No more losing hours of your life, and you can experiment more and prat about a bit having fun if punching chickens floats your boat

There are also some Save Game managers on Nexus if you end up going save game mental.

There’s always hope, and you’ve slapped down your cash already so what’s to lose mate.

Good gaming.

P.s. If you haven’t already got it, a top notch stabby sword is Stinger
https://kingdom-come-deliverance.vidyawiki.com/Stinger

And you can get it even if you don’t have the Ancient Map if you look for a video guide for its location on YouTube.

Blockquote Combat in my opinion is just so random. Sometimes it will work sometimes it won’t.

Well… just like in real life, istn’t it?

Yes totally, you are right! somtimes combat doesnt work in real life. It so hard to control my left stick to take a swing, like sometime i hit a person in real life and then for some reason i cant seem to hit anyone anymore they auto block everything. Its like they can feel my senses and read my movement like a controled computer AI. Anyways Im feeling quite hungry right now i should eat.

But you’re totaly right comparing this to real life.

You’re supposed to start out awful and miss and be terrible. It really has nothing to do with your “hands” LOL. Using For Honor as a comparison shows you have no clue how the combat development takes place because we’re not talking about precision. Heck, just your breathing in the early parts of the game throws off your aim. The idea here is you start off AWFUL. You can’t hit the broad side of a barn. Then you practice and practice and you get better and more precise. you get quicker, more agile etc. The fact you can hit with stabs and not swings is exactly the point. A stab is quick and takes little direction vs. a full swing.

I was a fencer and the way this works in the game is exactly how it works in real life. So go to Barnard and practice, practice, practice. Pay for training. You will get better and better, and more accurate, and more lithe.
