My list of things to improve [minor spoilers]

Having played around 25h (though not having finished the main story yet), here’s some of the things that need to be improved.

  • Saving system. I’d like to start by saying that I love difficult games, and a lot of times one of the main difficulties of such games come from the saving system. I’m alright with that. Having to be careful not to die because you’ll go back quite far if you do. But then, the problem with Kingdom Come Deliverance is not that the saves are limited, but how the saving system is explained. You don’t get AT ANY POINT an introduction to the save system (or maybe I missed it), and then, during the game it’s pretty confusing. It’s not clear when the game will autosave, when you can save using Schnapps, etc. It should be more explained. Dark Souls has a clear system, the fires. Here it should be clearer.

  • Loading screens. At first I thought it was my PC (it’s good but not the latest technology), but reading the forum I see this is a general problem. You get loading screens (3-10 secs) for almost EVERYTHING you do. You talk to someone? wait 7 seconds, here it comes.

  • Salutations in dialogs. It doesn’t matter the relationship you have with a certain NPC, they’ll always salute you cordially. For example (SPOILER AHEAD), when you see Fritz and your other best mate alive after weeks of the Skalitz horror, you talk to them and they answered like “Greetings Sir, I’m honoured”. Then you start the conversation and yes, they react accordingly to the situation.

  • Discovering regions with fast travel. I think the first time you get to a place shouldn’t be FAST TRAVELLING. I mean, sometimes you fast travel from the explored point A to the already explored point B, but the path the game chooses crosses a LARGE unexplored zone (with black clouds in the map, I mean), and it automatically gets explored. That’s ridiculous in my opinion.

  • Weak points in combat (the tactic in every battle is the same). Maybe I haven’t been able to find them, but I feel like every fight is the same. Enemies have no weak points. You just keep attacking and they keep blocking until they run out of stamina and then you are able to hit them since they can’t block. This, combined with defending yourself when they attack. I am aware there are combos and some techniques (like feinting and such), but the fact that I’m pointing out here is that every enemy is the same except of their strength, stamina, speed and equipment, of course, but you have to fight them the same way. This point I’m not very sure bout it because it might be me that misjudged it and it’s just me that fights every opponent the same.

That’s as far as I remember right now, but I’ll keep adding things while I remember them.

Only thing I agree on here is your point on salutations, but that’s just a minor improvement that’s not extremely necessary.

Combat is easy for me.
I’ve already explored the entire map so I can’t say much.
Saving system is fine, no problems and I’m nearing 80hours.
I don’t mind the 3 second loading screens. They’ve done a nice job having everything thing as an OPEN world. No loading screens when entering a house.

Didn’t say combat wasn’t easy. I was saying it is monotonous (maybe I explained myself badly). I’m not saying either saving system isn’t fine, I’m saying you don’t get a proper introduction to it.
Loading screens maybe yeah, it’s the one thing we have to tolerate in order to have such a fantastic open world feeling.

I find the enemies do parry and block well, I mean sure most fights are the same if the enemy is the same. But an armoured Cuman does fight differently then a poor bandit. It’s up to you to make it fun by how you engage the fight
