My reputation is tanking for no apparent reason?

I’ve been a rather shady character in my new save (breaking into houses, stealing things, and occasionally murdering people in their sleep), but I’m never caught doing anything. However, my reputation slowly and steadily seems to be tanking in various towns – right now, I’m at 15 reputation with the Rattay swordsmith, for example.

Does anyone know if this is intended? I also bribe guards to avoid searches, but I can’t see how that would affect my reputation with traders.

I guess it’s not a huge deal, but it’s kind of a bummer that everyone is starting to treat me like crap. :frowning: And even if I do something to raise my reputation, it still slowly decreases.

Yep same thing happens to me as well. I’ve just completed the series of quests in Sasau provided by a farmer where you steal stuff from people, and even though, there were no witnesses to my act such as pick pocketing and knocking people unconscious, my reputation went down and I was wanted. Seems like another shit “realistic” system that the devs were trying to implement into the game, if that’s even what they’re going for, but I agree that this system needs to be changed as well as other problems that still needs to be addressed.

This system is game breaking. I can’t get any quests off Rattay people.

I’ve heard it said, if you punch a guard in the face a couple times, say you can’t pay the fine and get put in jail, it will reset your rep. Can’t confirm, at work atm, but did hear this on a youtube.
