Need help, ginger in a pickle

Okay, as far as i hear, other folks are after ginger already, and as quests are said to develop even without the players intervention, I get the sense of him ending up deaded if I dont find him first.

The thing is, if so, it feels unfair that i have to go after him without knowing any better how to fight than a wet slice of toast. The two guys after him are more or less gods of death, easily dodging and avoiding and parrying anything i could throw at them, and having no trouble at all chopping me into burger meat…

Is there any chance, between any of the quests, to get some distance, take a break, and practise?

I just stopped right when I got the pickle quest and have been doing side quests since.

I think you can Report the two of them to Bernard. Not Sure though, you can also Attack once with bow&Arrow, they may Glitch and Attack themselves, leaving you with only one To Deal. Last way would be “Hit and run”, there’s a small Cliff North of the Camp, you can Leader them there. If you jump down they may follow and Hurt themselves hard.

do you know if he’s still alive?

He should be ok unless you did something crazy like tell the bad guys where he is lol. Someone on here said they killed the bad guys in their sleep… I was jealous

Solutions found:

Arrows to face and kite them killing both will arrows and evading.

Sneak into camp and kill them in their sleep (about 230am)

Defeat one with a bow ( kill the swordsman 1st he will be your biggest problem) and the other with your sword.

Aim your sword attack over their shoulder so you are not targeting them and you only have a dot on your screen not the star. Swing your weapon and drag you camrea so you are facing them so you get a flailing hit you can repeat this but the sticky targeting makes it a pain and you will have to dodge and run around trees to keep space.

If your archery skill is still low, sneak to their camp at night and kill the one with the helmet while he’s asleep. This will wake the other one, but then you’ll only have to fight a single opponent. And save the game just before the fight, so you can reload as many times as you like and practice as a player (not henry). After a few repetitions you will start to feel comfortable in fencing and it won’t be such a problem to fight anymore.

Still wondering where henry can safely practise fencing and archery… seems you only learn agaisnt either people out to kill you, or paid idiotically high sums for training…

If you have completed ginger in a pickle and reported it to sir bernard (not radzig) if you report to radzig first it will bug the game some.

But bernard will return to rattay back at the arena where you trained. You can go back and practice my advice is do master strike training nonstop

but Bernard is asking dozens of groschens for everything… quite an obscene price, seeing how henry is supposed to be a nobody.

No no, ask to learn combos and practice with wooden weapons, or practice master strikes. It is free. The actual weapon training does cost yes. But it also raises you chance to land perfect blocks and combos

Only if he is back at the training area wont work while in neuhof or if you didnt finish ginger in a pickle

so, when finishing the pickle thing, report to bernard, after that hes back in rattay, and can offer cheap wooden sword training.

Is there any effect of shooting arrows at targets?

No effect for me shooting targets, however, rabbits and deer are good target practice

Yes to reporting back to bernard may be best to rest up and stock on food as well. Also when doing master strike training just keep doing it nonstop you will level str, vit, agil, warfare main level and weapon skill of your chosen melee.

Archery only levels by killing game. So hunting only levels archery, targets wont count.

Love hearing the plans of attack btw

Not on the round Archery Targets, no(except for Player Training). But the Shooting Contests with wooden Logs can Level your Archery. Alternativly hunt for hares. Berthold in Rattay trains you for Money.

So many options you can even ride by on your horse and hit them but if they hit pebbles you will be dismounted. She is no warhorse and will buck you.

Contests for archery is bugged though. Shoot your arrows then use the wait feature for one hour or you will be there all day.

Yes already Had the experience with Contests…

Mounted Combat is kinda hard in the Forrest, gotta Watch for all that branches trying to knock you Off your Horse also…
