Need help replacing horse texture

Fairly simple task - I want to replace Kanthaka’s textures with Pie. So I have to find both but that is a little harder than I had anticipated.

Problem 1: Viewing the DDS textures. After unpacking the PAK files the DDS files are not loadable by any DDS tool. I tried running sctexconv_1.3 but that fails on every file.

Problem 2: There do not seem to be nearly enough textures for the number of horses., and nothing that clearly identifies what goes to which horse.

This sequence helped me to extract textures. Regarding the second problem, textures are modified by several parameters in the soul.xml file, so you can have a single texture with different modifications. I suggest that you contact the author of this mod. He might be able to give you some tips.
