When following the men into Neuhoff (first time) during The Hunt Begins I just have an infinite loading screen. This is consistent behavior.
If you let the game just sit, it will eventuall load, but the quest bugs out and NPCs just stand around with their arms out stretched. Pretty creepy.
Exact same issue. PS4 game. I’ve deleted excess previous saves. Loaded a previous save file. Updated the game to 1.05. Nothing.
I can live with occasional bugs, I’m used to those these days. I literally can’t get around this. I have been at it for hours.

Also, I went way back on a save, and was able to play through. Unfortunately, wasted my hours of initial play, and the hours of trying to rectify the bug. This is going to get old.
Same here, i’ve restarted the game many times but i can’t find a solution to this. I can live with some bugs but for me this is gamebreaking…i don’t have the time to go back on a save (not sure if that gonna work for me).
I really like the game but this, ruined my experience.
SOLUTION: When you start the quest don’t report to the NPC instead leave the area, as far as you can until a message pops up that says “failed to speak to the captain” then a new quest will pop up “mount your horse and follow the captain”, if you follow the path to the quest you will see a fast travel point at ‘‘NEUHOF’’ (DON’T GO FURTHER) from this point fast travel back to ‘‘RATTAY UPPER GATE’’ then back to ‘‘NEUHOF’’.
Quest is working perfect after that. Enjoy…
