When I start a new game, combat master vanyek won’t have an option to talk to him and he’ll automatically attack me once I see him. I’ve tried restarting the game and even a new game again. I even started a new game on my other save where I had completed the storyline and it won’t let me do anything else cause he keeps attacking me and the guards arrest me and put me in jail, where I die.

Having the same problem! He either kills me immediately for no reason, or I can’t interact with him at all. Between this and the sit/sleep bug I’m going crazy
I fixed it by deleting my save files for both playlines, and then restarting the game and starting anew story. It worked then, but still very annoying.
