New game save on 1.5 - Upcoming DLC

Thinking of starting my second playthrough of the game on the current 1.5 patch, since From the Ashes DLC is just around the corner. My question is; will there be any complications regarding saves, on launch day of the DLC?

I really wouldnt wanna start a new save today for example, to have to be forced to start another new save when the DLC actually launches. I know this is kind of stupid, but since I heard there was similiar problems before during 1.3 I believe, where people had to re-roll on whole saves. I know I should be fairly safe since the game has been out for some time now and from what I hear 1.5 is really good when it comes to debugs and performance etc. It’s just a DLC add and the devs are very compitent people, just wanted to ask, better safe than sorry.

If I could get some conformation on this I would be really grateful!

In another thread it was stated, that the DLC will come with patch 1.6
So there will be another update to be able to use the DLC.

Ah I see, better to wait then.
Thanks for the reply!

Rei I always expect with the first few patches of role playing games a chance of previous saves games not handling the changes inbound.

KCD has had a few patches now.
I think playstyle is more likely to be a contributing factor; I find when I start to get a few quests going (and half attempts to progress on them), I expect more difficulty when loading an earlier versions’ save game.

Some of the earlier issues with this game got cleared up and in game item drops arent breaking later gameplay ability…
Id trust a save game working build to build (the devs do seem to care greatly about this),… my only hesitancy would be if a new DLC added content best experienced with a new character.

Like Reis question begs’- a developer could possibly answer- is the DLC itself likely to warrant a fresh start?
I would hazzard 1.6 isnt an issue.

Enjoy the moment however you choose.

Thank you for putting it into better words than I did, this is basically all I really want to know & be 100% certain on. And yeah, a comment from a dev would definitely put my mind at ease!
