So I followed the advice from others, and reloaded an older save. The only way to get through this quest, is be deliberately failing it by alarming the guards.
I can’t believe this. Including a quest that’s so bugged you can’t pass. Really, I’m pissed. I’m beginning to side with those who say this game wasn’t ready for release.
Wow rant much? Bugged for me also can’t carry Hans as there is no interaction for it. hope they fix this mission soon.
I had luck to get Capon out of the castle, but yeah, the quest can’t be passed successfully. In any case, it’s not that frustrating.

Hans is on the ground right next to you. Just use a torch if you have one or just look down and you’ll get the pick up body interaction. But yeah it’s buggy as hell and I was getting like 15 fps while trying to run carrying him. I’m not sure if the fail deliberately thing is really necessary. But this is for pc anyway

Yeah pretty much. Just have to pick him up and run. I didn’t bother engaging anyone in combat
It’s a hard thing. I’ve tried to run, but those guys turning on speed hack and making me to face them. Just easier to kill them fast. 
He really is nowhere, I’ve looked everywhere. He’s definitely laying down on the ground? There’s also a person fighting with me. And he’s on the bailey? Close to the ladder? The bailey was empty…
He’s there on the ground. I’ll try to replay and record the quest, but this’s going to be the pain in the one of the soft parts of the body.

Ahhh you’re too kind, don’t bother too much, because I think it’s a bug where Hans just isn’t there…
He’s supposed to be laying right by your feet. But given the number of bugs you’re facing, it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s missing too 
they better fix things up before too many people quit. I’m blaming deep silver for this mess.

I’m taking my words back, this quest is the most retarded thing. After trying to pass it in the fifth time(Cus i’ve passed the game 4 times already, but i’ve passed it only once). I won’t even defend it. Even if i passed it from the first try.

you didnt find horse body armor in any of these playthroughs right?
There’s no body armour for horse. Only head. It might be seen even by checking items.xml
So, he’s lying around the wheel straight from the doors.
