What was with that mission. I am 20 stealth and wore black clothes and the first two guards magically detected me every time. Scripted to fuck.

The stealth system in these two are bad too!

Yeah stealth systems are every time complicated. I remember many annoying and funny moments in Thief 2 The Metal Age ^^
imho best was in original operation flashpoint and following arma series (until Arma3). However even there happened a lot of stupid things. I like if stealth system is rather more difficult than just simple “hey, stay in shadow, thats enough to be invisible”
edit: and i also like if stealth system is less gamey style like in splinter cell… (LED light on back that nobody see, but it is there for your navigation…)
Did you apply charcoal?

My two guards went down easily on first trial. Right one first, then another. They were scripted but not in a way they see you.
