I started a new save once i saw the 300 quest bugs patched headline. I have not had a single random encounter yet and I have reached the point in the game where I looking for limpys cronies this seems super wrong. anyone else with this issue?
are you playing on console or pc?
I’m on PC and I havent had random encounters even before the patch
It should get fixed with the next patch (1.4)
PC. I had fought the knights and brigands on every single travel on my frist run which I couldnt finish.
+1 Same Here. I play in pc and after 1.3 patch i dont have random encaunters too.
Its a known issue and should get fixed
so 1.3.4 should fix random encounters and should release any time soon

on steam you can find a fix for this problem. but… maybe its better to wait till the patch

Ah, was wondering what that was all about. Got the game 3 days ago and have never had a random. Wonder what the new features will be in the patch following the one to fix random encounters?
I seem to get attacked by more random bandits since the patch unless it has to do where I am at in the main quest.

Random encounters seem to depend on the options for the start and the way the event is handled.
If you started a new game after 1.3.1, then you’ll more than likely suffer this problem. If you use a saved game from before 1.3.1, then you’ll be fine.
This is why some people are experiencing the problem and others aren’t. Hopefully it’s all fixed in the next patch. I’ve been patiently waiting to continue my play though for almost 2 weeks now.
At the beginning of the game,I choose two strengths.
And use violence to recover debt. Random encounters will occur.
There is no random encounter when choosing to use the speech.

The conclusion I got after restarting the game 26 times.
Try to persuade Lady Stephanie to fail once (all choose to speak)
Open KingdomComeDelieverance folder in steam
(Steam\SteamApps\Common\KingdomComeDelieverance)
Create a txt file
Open it and paste the following commands into it
wh_pl_randomeventsdebug=0
wh_pl_randomeventscooldownsenabled=1
wh_pl_randomeventbasechancerunoffset=1
Now save the file and rename it to mod.cfg (it will be loaded after game files and before other configs)
Or rename it to user.cfg and add +exec user.cfg to the target line of kcd shortcut properties. (C:\Program Files (x86)\VALVe\Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance\Bin\Win64\KingdomCome.exe +exec user.cfg)
