No saddle from The Sport of Kings quest

I won the race and reported back to zora and brought her horse back as well. She states that she will reward me with the best saddle, but yet i only got money and the saddle is jo where to be found.

I should also note that i do have a noble saddle with 4 saddle bags already (the best saddle in the game to my knowledge), not sure if this effects the quest rewards. For example if this was the saddle she planned to give me and the game saw i already had it and then proceeded not to give me a duplicate of the saddle. That being said i dont know what saddle she is supposed to give you, so if it is a different type of saddle (like a unique one), then this idea doesnt really apply.

Yeah Nick . You not crazy. Same happened me. I was thinking bish better give me that saddle. I don’t fast travel.

I have the Noble saddle with four bags.got to be a bug.

Good to know. I looked it up and saw people on reddit where saying it was a bug, and so i am assuming it has been reported before but since it didnt come up in my google search i decided to make a post to ensure it had some kind of report.

Yup it sucks, especially because saddles are expensive, so if you dont have a higher end saddle it could be a very good upgrade, and if you do have a good one like me then you can likely sell the one she gives you for a lot of money (if you so choose to).

I had this problem too on xbox one, coincidentally I also already had the noble saddle with 4 bags and this one just might be me but I also felt like turning that woman upside down and shaking the reward out of her.

I found the race to be fairly annoying, retried it about 3 or 4 times, so i agree i was very annoyed she didnt up giving me my full reward. Luckily she does give you a fair amount of money.

true enough race was a cool idea imo but turned out dumb, with no track or markers I cheesed it first try just galloping straight through the woods to each pole. it could of been so much more with a whole chain of races as an activity.

Same here, I didn’t get the saddle…
But the race was good anyway… when one of the opponent rides next to me: “Henry’s come to see us! Henry I glad you came!” :smiley:

it’s cheese that they made the rules that easy. there’s no way the other racers have a chance in hell if they all take the roads while I take shortcuts

Did you get a quest marker for each location? Or did you just remeber the way to each of those locations? Because for me the game gave me no quest marker and since i am not great with directions i ended up having to follow the lead racer most of the race, then i just went up the hill instead of following the road at the finish line, and since the NPCs must follow the road, i won by a fair amount. But i would have prefered to just ride straight to each point, however having no quest markers made this difficult. I thought perhaps the no markers was on purpose to try and force you to follow the others as i had to do.

that sucks man sorry you had to do it that way, I had a marker for each part of the race and didn’t see the other racers at all after it started.

Ah see i thought there should have been markers, i even restarted a few times to see if that would fix it, but unfortunately it didnt. So i had originally just thought it might be intentional, but now i know it is yet another bug. Man two bugs in one quest, at least non of them stopped me from finishing the quest.

i have the exactly same situation. already i have noble saddle(4bags) and only got money. on ps4.

Same bug for me. I am still riding Pebbles with his/her basic saddle; I have not upgraded anything. I tried turning in this quest twice, once with my latest dismount being from Zora’s horse before I spoke with Zora, the second time with both returning Zora’s horse then mounting and dismounting Pebbles just in case the horse’s inventory needed to be triggered. Neither time did I receive the saddle Zora promised me. Only got 175 groschen instead.

Well at least it is good to know that it isnt caused by having a high grade saddle already. Hopefully it gets fixed, i would like to know what the saddle is suppsed to be.
