I´am using a Razer Kraken headset and I have tried all kind of tricks, to get any sound at all, except for the expensive one: buy a new headset.
Anyone with xp in no sound bug?
Is your headset recognized by OS? Does it work with other aplications?
Have you another headset (cheap mobile set)? Just to test…
Its working fine with all my other games.
Ill buy a cheap one. Dont have a spare headset to test with. Iam just wondering if anyone got xp with razer kraken.

The sound menu is lacking options. Only volume can be altered.
Well then it looks like you are running out of options. Maybe send a support ticket to devs?
Have you tried to turn up Volume?
Hmmmm that suggestion was so silly that i had to try it - didnt work.

There is a few headsets in the krakken range… which platform are you playing on and with which headset…
To be fair I dont care about whichbheadset so much as ‘how are you connecting’?
Some of the krakken use usb, yes?
Somethings to check- swap out of KCD, and load the volume mixer. Bring up the screen which shows volume sliders for each individual program- check if KCD is showing and whether muted… obviously unmute it and slide to top.
I would want to go to the sound control panel applet and check what sound rates are selected for it.
It might only do 16bit and 48khz… not saying KCD is running 24bit and 96khz but either would stipit if it had limits.
Other things that catch up decoders can be incompatible sound formats (dolby digital/dts)… the wundows sound applet allows you to set default hardware (often switched to hdmi when reinstalling/updating video drivers).
Check sound panel has headphone out/usb out to your krakken (whichever you use) and check for compatible sounds formats (play test tone and tick ‘yes’ if you hear it).

Sound control panel will be here. Ibusually choose smallnicons rather than category view… alphabetically stored=>look for “S ound”…
