Nomads or Hungarians?

nothing you provided goes against the depiction in the game. i am interested what is the initial point of your complaint? maybe i’m reading it wrong, but you initially said the faceplate wasn’t historically accurate, then you posted a lot of faceplates and said this is what they looked like, and they looked exactly like how it’s depicted in the game.

please post a list of your grievances without a bunch of pictures or links in a list format, i mean you’re all over the place, etchings from 1500s, illustrations from 1300s, etc.

First, I will post known material: miniatures and objects of archeology. Then we can go to the comments already existing models. However, a series of mistakes I have already indicated above. Now I try to make a detailed overview of mistakes.

a) Helmet.
Not found in Hungary, but known in the territory of influence of the Golden Horde. The dome of the helmet should look intact without external metallic strips. They were gilded (often). Expensive helmet.
How it should look like:

Armor.
Mail-plate armor of the 15th century in Hungary is not known, but known in the territory of influence of the Golden Horde. See my post above. The plates are too big and very oddly placed.
Shield.
At the Hungarian Kumans no shields to pictures and not in graves. Discussion on the shields see above.
The figure shows the Indo-persian shields 18-19 century.

weapons
The figure shows “Shamshir” - weapon 17-19 century. Perhaps the earliest iran’s examples date from the 16th century.
I’m not laid out materials on the swords, but can do it.

b) Helmet.
Chernaya Mogila (Black Grave) type helmet - 10th. Not found in Hungary Half mask was not used here, chain mail should be attached to the half mask.
Armor.
The central circular plate superfluous.
Shield.
Same as above.

c) Helmet.
Not found in Hungary, but known in the territory of influence of the Golden Horde. The dome of the helmet should look intact without segments.
How it should look like:

Why does he always closed? In peacetime, its position is:
http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/4856/20882742983151706071853.jpg
Armor.
Better to leave only chain mail. Lamellar armor is very archaic for the period.
weapons
Same as above.

General comments.
A large number of soldiers in armor and helmets in the “Eastern bloc”. They should not be more than a quarter of the total. Meet in the woods two foot soldiers in expensive armor - it nonses. Swords are not correct for the “Eastern faction”. Their primary weapon - a bow and arrow. And they’re the cavalry.
About the clothes will tell later.

Another problem armor “Eastern bloc” is archaic helmets from the territory of influence of the Golden Horde.
For example, helmets with half-mask widely used in the 13th and the first half of the 14th century.

This is not the only helmet in the game has its roots in the Golden Horde. And he also is dated 13 - the first half of the 14th century.

Last helmet is interesting that on its basis in the 15-16 centuries, created new types of helmets.

As simple helmets can use the following type:

This type of undeservedly forgotten.

Chain mail in this period likely to a major protective armor. However, the game can also be used and its other types. For example chain mail outer coating of the cloth. This is a fairly common variant of protection.
For example, the Ottomans second half of the 15th century.

An example from Syria.

Another common type of weapons were mace. It can be seen on some of frescoes and miniatures above.

About a bow and arrow this time I do not say anything. Although they are the main type of weapon “Eastern bloc”, in the game they are bad implemented. :sob: And wait for changes for the better is not necessary.

@velizariy Warhorse has their own historical advisor’s so i can’t see the armor being as unrealistic as you claim it to be.
