None of my controllers - XBox and Steam - works fine in this game

I’ve never had such a problem before.

The XBox gamepad is not recognized at all and with the Steam Controller I cannot use the “control pad”. It’s just dead. It doesn’t matter which configuration I use in Big Picture mode, the game ignores the settings.

I have tested the controllers and they work fine in all other games.
I have a normal Win10 computer without exotic hardware. Also, I can’t access the XBox controller with gamenotworking. com’s tricks.

I’m also using the steam conroller and I also think something in the config here is messed up.
The official config works ok but once I try switching between action layers and sets it’s not working.

I dont understand why anyone would want to Use a Controller over Mouse and Keyboard…
