So I was just minding my own business on my second play file.(cause I was not please how my first run was going.) Right after talking with the baliff to get a quest I get a fatal error which force closes the game. Annoyed at that point cause I figured I lost about a half n hour or so of progress. Still no big deal. Try to load back in. Save file corrupted. . .once I do get back in MY ENTIRE SECOND PLAYTHROUGH IS GONE! That’s over 50 f-ing hours gone in the blink of an eye. Like seriously, is your save system so busted that Everytime you save your game you run a high risk of crashing or corrupting your entire playthrough. Looks like I am done playing. Thanks for wasting my time and money.

Should have just got it for PC, then at least it would be easy to get to where I was again. That’s what I get for giving a console a shot for once. Never again.

In different matters the game wont let me save and the game wont auto save PLEASE HELP
If you haven’t already, try to delete extra files. Then, try saving
How many should i delete because i did do some but it still wont save, even when i made a new save drink it still wont save
dont no if i should wait for the next patch to continue because i dont want to play for a couple of hours to find that i cant save
On PS4, I keep 10-ish. No more than 15. Game gets squirrelly for me beyond 15

Yeah, my first fatal CE error occurred with around 15 save files. PS4 is notorious for save file restriction … seems more fussy with KCD
Can’t guarantee trimming files will fix issue but can guarantee that if you don’t trim (and you’re on PS4) you’re going to regret it at some point

There’s a temp file corruption at least on PS4. The audio files exist. The game stopped playing the dialog audio files and the NPCs stopped moving their lips. Purged and restarted… loaded same file, problem went away
I think some of the bad reports you see here are users that save files and bad temp data gets included and permanently damages save file
Ah i feel your pain well im gonna play an hour of the main story and see if it saves
Also if the game does not save then all i can do is wait for 1.3 and pray that the save and exit feature saves it
