Im about 10 hours in now and playing on PC (using a Xbox Pad, not K&M)
So - my thoughts at this stage. Initially the save feature took me back, as I couldnt get started with it due to inability to play for long times, but rather short bursts. I used a mod to sort that out, but have now stopped using that and playing the way the game intended, however it does still need a save on exit feature.
Lockpicking - its just really clumsy on pad. Its not impossible and I get the lock picking idea should be hard, but it shouldn’t be hard because the controls are horrid. It just isnt easy or comfortable to roll the sticks in the needed method, so I use K&B for lockpicking. The actual method does just “click” with practise, but it so needs reworked for Pad control.
That brings me onto another thing with using a pad on PC - the look sensitivity is awful. Its slow and sluggish, but if you use the mouse to look around its smooth as silk. An option to increase the sensitivity in game is all thats needed. I could use steam to change the way the controller stick works (Mouse) and alter sensitivity (I did, it made it nice and smooth, but introduced a weird control scheme in menus I couldnt be bothered with so removed the steam profile for pad) which proves that an in game look sensitivity for pad would solve this issue.
This also applies to the in game map. It doesnt scroll nicely with the pad - the cursor moves slowly - its wanting mouse input obviously.
All in all just a bit more polish needed for control method other than K&M.
The game is a gem under these janky issues. All of these can be ironed out.
Hopefully a community manager can take note of these issues to get it passed back to the devs for a patch!
