Ok now i'm going to jump on the band wagon

Yes but it does away with the speech options ect

I would have thought being able to switch off the hud would of been in this game from day one no mods needed.

Why? I’m having trouble thinking of any other RPGs that natively do that. Why would you expect it here?

Haha put a piece of duct tape over it. Problem solved. Now you won’t know how much stamina you have anymore so you can complain about the screen turning blue while sprinting and dying all easy during combat like the real true to life hard core gamer we all know you are!

Well the screen shake and stuttering aren’t universal bugs aka not everyone is affected. Which means two things

1: It most likely means that a certain difference in hard or software is causing this ( and since there are millions of combinations…that’s a hard one to figure out.

2: Due to it being machine specific…it is tricky to figure this out for the Devs. If you are able to give developers logs (especially if they ask for it) you might be the key to fixing it…because finding the cause of an issue blindly…is hard as fuck

There are a LOT of things I had expected this game to include from day one. I’ve begun keeping an on-going list:

…HUD as a quick one-key toggle in Settings, or at least have a secondary screenshot that ignores HUD.
…Any-time saves that do not require me to get drunk from schnapps (= real life objections) or, per patch 1.3, to exit the game (= real life time wasting).
…archery reticle as a toggle in Settings
…grinding wheel tilt indicator, since the dev’s thought it would be “challenging” to make Henry randomly jerk the tilt angle while using the wheel. (Some swords are harder than others to tell their tilt angle when looking at the pointy end.)
…sprint as a “toggle key”, not a “hold key”
…door opening/closing animations as an option in Settings
…character collisions as an option in Settings (eg. so you can get through a door that is being closed by an NPC in your face)
…Front end UI sounds as an option in Settings. STOP THE POUNDING IN MY EARS!!!
…Character bio stats complaints as an option in Settings. “I could really do with a bi–” “SHUT IT!!!”
…Some sort of a target practice dummy on whom I can get a feel for how to use the five-pointed slash direction feature since its responsiveness is way too difficult to learn from during combat with a living opponent. I have yet to successfully complete even the most basic of attack chains.
…Make the Surrender action actually work, or at the very least give me a screen prompt of when I’m actually supposed to try doing it. I’m sick and tired of being slaughtered every time I try to surrender.
…Greeting dialogue as an option in Settings so 1) getting to the interactive part of the NPC is faster and 2) so I no longer have to listen to idiotic people asking me if I was mugged just because my clothes are muddy.
…Some sort of real-time adjusted Visibility value indicator in the HUD (a simple number would be fine) so I can tell how effective I am being at sneaking in the shadows. Obviously, this would be an option in Settings.

\\\ Can you see a trend yet? WH has made a game that their developers can live with. But it is not a game that is adequately flexible to the usability desires of their very broad audience. The Settings menu is massively under-used in this game.

At least the sighing sound that was introduced in patch 1.3 to occur every time I exited a menu has been fixed. Henry was starting to sound as exasperated as I am while playing this game.

You know, I’m not one of the PC master race and all, I play on a lowly XboneX. And honestly have never had any of the game-breaking problems that i see people complain about. (of course we haven’t gotten the latest patch either)

It also seems to me that the majority of people complaining are the ones that Mod the shit out of their games.
Maybe the patches aren’t breaking the game just the coding in the mods.
Maybe the devs are doing that on purpose, I would.

Play the game how it is supposed to be played and maybe these issues wouldn’t keep popping up.
But idk, just a console plebe.

Just downloading 1.4.1 now

Will update asap

Same here, and I’m an even more lowly PS4 player…

Well it’s all working ??? I mean like really working and he textures too

This right there shows you have no clue what the heck you’re doing at times. Of COURSE mods will be broken after a patch. They’re (mods) are using incompatible data with the newly released game files.

In the future if you want to contribute properly, then when a patch comes along you need to disable all your mods and play that way until the modmakers update their mods or state if there’s no compatibility issue. Anything that makes even a simple adjustment to one obscure weapon can/will have problems after a patch.

You also need to be aware that for the major gameplay mods, even after they update their mods, there is stil the chance your savegame may still be incompatible. If the game changed enough then they can’t adjust everything to match 100%.

Hint: I’m a modder.

My dear, instead of ranting like a child, try doing some research into how mods intertwine with games.

vanilla PS4 user - stopped at die is cast (Erik not in Vranik bug) and have intermittent stability problems (even after deleted, re-downloaded, restarted sys, trimmed save files)

Didn’t hit a wall (one of above) till ~250h of gameplay. the base game has problems

Mods no clue lmfao … behave yourselves I’m 42 years of age, I was brought up on c++

Since when is it standard to be able to customize every little shitty piece of a game, animations gameplay etc., and why ould anyone expect, nay, DEMAND it to be in a game, or otherwise loudly proclaim it to be crap?

It may just be a case of this particular game not being your cup of tea.

I don’t like liquorice, so I don’t consume it. I do not eat it and then complain, that it isn’t caramel.

If a game is priced at £60 and is filled with bugs, yes everyone has the right to demand them to fix a game they were promised. That’s like paying for an over priced sandwich that doesn’t have all of the ingredients in it, you would obviously take it back and demand either a refund or for them to add the ingredients wouldn’t you?

I am a PC player, and I don’t run mods. I can’t even play right now because so many quests are bugged. It is not mods, it is the game. I have 12 different bug reports going with Warhorse right now, all of which they have replied that the issues are known and they are working on them.

It appears to me, WH is currently trying to fix it.

Fallout, and skyrim are just 2 basic rpg’s that can turn off HUD granted they are made by the same company. But you can also look at the assassins creed games they can turn their HUD off along with almost an ubisoft game

I’ll give you Fallout, they put an opacity slider in settings.
Skyrim, you have to access console commands to toggle the HUD, or install a mod. So, not much different from KCD.
Good catch on the AC, hadn’t thought about those.
