I made a save when i was on top of the horse. The moment i dismounted she unspawned, is that part of the new patch?
At what point? If you are still running from the cumans on her, it bugs if you save mid run, and she vanishes when you load the save. You have to get all the way to Talmberg before saving.
If it is after you made it to Talmberg, and are at the part where you are suppose to make the run to Skalits, then it will happen there too, as they didn’t intend on anyone saving and quitting the game at that point I guess. If it is after Skalitz, and you went back to Talmberg and got her, she will return to Talmberg, as she is not technically your mount anymore, so saving and reloading, ports her back to Talmberg, as does even just dismounting and leaving her for a time.
It was after the prologue. I went back to where i left her then got on and went back to skelitz to get all the loot i saved in Henry’s parents house. I remounted and thats where i saved. I then made my way to the horse trader in merhojed after i logged in again so i just bought a new horse, no biggie but it made me do a double take at the disappearing act.
Was unsure about it because on other saves i literally went everywhere and did everything with that horse and nothing happened. Makes sense as the bandits were supposed to steal the horse story wise so i guess the patch fixed it.
Yeah, she doesn’t stay with you after the prologue. You probably only got to keep her as long as you did because you saved while mounted. Had you saved while on the ground, she would have been gone when you loaded the save.
Olena disappeared on me as well after the 1.4 patch - guess that this is one of the “over 200” undocumented fixes featured there.
During the prologue when heading back to Skalitz, I left Olena by the Talmberg quarry just before the spot where you get teleported to Rovna. And when starting out at Miller Peshek’s place, I Fast Traveled back to Talmberg to get Olena back. And so I’ve been using her all the way to Main Level 12 - until the 1.4 patch…
The starter horse used to end up around the Quarry but since PS4 hasn’t seen the latest patch, not sure if that was changed. Maybe we’ll see the patch this week…
